You know they mess you up! Or do they...

Today is Friday (as I'm writing this around 11pm), and I have been operating like it was a Saturday. I guess since Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday I should be used to that by now. Christmas is on a Sunday this year so I know I won't be getting disoriented about the days then. Holidays that fall on Mondays, like Labor Day (in the U.S.) don't lead me to lose track of what day it is. But when it falls during the middle of the week my brain seems to stall.

Now that we are retired we can get really out of kilter with the days.

Mine too. I'm doing good at the moment. Christmas is going to throw me way off because my church is having their normal services on Saturday instead of Sunday. I need to check to see if the football games are going to make the same mess of my brain.

I am with you on this one, and missing two days at work made it even worse.

Yes, because it messes up your routine. I have that happen all the time. Especially if I just take a random day off during the week for something.. or when Hubby changes his day off for a weird reason. It gets easy to forget what day it is. So far this week I've been okay... but I get Monday off next week because I volunteered to work on Friday when most everyone else was off.. so next week my days will be thrown off I'm sure!

I live by the calendar because both kids have such different schedules now - so I have to make sure each day that I am on the right day or else we will miss something. That being said, the school does have some weird days off in the middle of the week . . . and when that happens, we are all thrown off the first day back!!

Every day I wonder what day it is..not haveing a job or any reason to know what day it is because I'm old can be confusing. Joining the YMCA was a good choice for me so I know Monday through Friday I have something to do at a certain time...

Thursday really messed me up, as well! When Friday and Saturday came along, I had a hard time figuring out what day of the week it really was! hahaha

Same challenge here and its harder when I take a bunch of days off from work. I enjoy the break from work, but the days kind of run together without a clear ability to tell the days apart.

My son who does Cyber School had a half day on Wednesday and my daughter who is in public school had no school. I have been so confused each day thinking the following day is school. Now tomorrow is actually my sons return to cyber school after the holidays but my daughter still has on day left of vacation.

if a major holiday falls on a sunday, it's a struggle to go to work on monday.

I have to pay attention carefully to what day it is all of the time! lol I am easily put off my schedule; even without holidays.
