The Sentinel Crows

Down the road a block or two
Cedar forests come to view.
Not a dark mysterious plot
Just an empty industrial lot.
Past that corner our path way goes.
Today we spotted sentinel crows.
Perched on top of many trees
Observant crows we happened to see.
They all were turned away from the wind,
Saying winter weather is coming in.
In some special way the birds can hear
A threat of winter coming near.
Observant people need to heed
The sentinel crows on top of the trees.
This afternoon as we drove past where the electrical power station sits, surrounded by red cedar we saw a large number of black crows, each clinging to the top of a separate tree. All of them facing the same way.
The trees of course, were planted by nature and volunteered there. It was a fun site to see. Of course I did not have a camera with me.

@GardenGerty Hi, GG!
I can explain several ways to move photos from a smart phone to your computer, if you are interested? (I actually wrote at least two different tutorials for vanny when she bought her smart phone and took pictures she wanted to use on myLot.)
I'd be happy to either point you in the direction of the tutorials or copy them onto your discussion, if you prefer? Please let me know which is best for you.
Thank you!

Wow!! I thought you were an excellent cook but did not know you were a poet too!!!
Crows do send messages. When they crow relentlessly I know i will have guests and invariably it is true.

I dabble at many things. I felt that this looked poetic and special and needed more interesting words to tell it.

I do not know if they leave Kansas even for a brief time, probably not if they were all here today.

Yes, they are. Many animals will tell us about what is happening if we just pay attention.
