Maybe you have to get ready to go to work and really haven't got the time but you can't resist the temptation...

I am retired so no work any more. 
Maybe you take longer now that you are older and it's totally out of the question as you take too long to get ready and then put everything back as it was afterwards...

I have nothing planned for afterwards so no-one will be arriving so I don't have to clear up until later...
Maube your dinner is almost ready and you don't want it to go cold...

I usually eat cold dinners and hot lunches...
If you only have a short break would you come to myLot just the same or do you only come when you have a long time to be here?

Not going to do much on here really today.
I have to clear things away and I want to relax.
Will want to watch a bit of Television afterwards but not much and I want to read a bit online also.
I don´t plan mylot every day I come on here when I can and if not I have to stay away.

I try and get things done in the evening before I come here but during the day I am on and off in between other things for only a few minutes at a time.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I am busy in the afternoons offline and it seems that is when there is a lot of activity here because when I get back in the evevnings I am submerged with notifications. Makes it difficult to catch up!

I always come on short breaks during the day. I post a couple of responses and read a discussion and come back in my next short break. I am currently at work waiting for an appointment that will start soon.
The long breaks are usually on Sundays and I enjoy being here a lot. I would love to make my own schedule like you! Everything will come when it is the right time!

@besweet Not really. I enjoyed most of the jobs that I had throughout my working life but every day was so packed with things to do and not enough time to do them. Now that is no longer the case as I can manage each day according to the weather. If it's good I go out and if it's not I do things indoors.

@mysdianait Yes I know, there is the right time for all stages in our life.
I enjoy the productive stage that I am in right now but it sounds exciting to have some more time for ourselves and more freedom. Do you ever miss your days before retirement?

I do come here as much as I can. Sometimes before preparing for work or during lunch break. Hope I could maintain that. Before February I was gone too busy at work for 8 or so months.

@mysdianait I came back because writing is my passion and I am able to so it here. With a bonus that I could interact with so many. And there is a payout, which I have not reached yet since I came back.

If I have a couple minutes I'll try to at least check notifications so they don't back up. I tend not to be on here extremely long anyway, but I try to pop in a few times through the day to check for new discussions and comments.

I try to be here every day, MysD... Sometimes I only have a minute so look to see if someone gave a reply I was hoping for and other times I am looking for someone. I enjoy being on myLot. I love making threads go long and interesting, especially when it allows friends to talk about anything we are interested in right then.
You know what can happen if I get distracted, too, no matter what I intended to do.
How have you been? It feels like I haven't seen you in days.

Some days I pop on and off for a few minutes, many times in a day. Other days I might be here for a long stretch...but only early or late in the day. Then there are the days I barely even peek to see who's here.

@mysdianait Yes,I play the erhu and the violin for about 1.5 hours and go for a quick walk half an hour in the morning.In the evening I usually watch TV or read.

I come only when I am in the mood for chatting. Good thing is that myLot doesn't tempt me that much now.
Sometimes I multi-task, like when I am doing something on the computer and need a break from what I am doing, I would just pop in for a while to check on the notifications and clear them off.

@mysdianait Honey-Do's are chores or tasks my wife wants me to accomplish, normally compiled in a list. We call them Honey-Do's because wives will tell their husbands, "Honey do this, and honey do that."
