Do You Like Random Trivia

I do like random trivia. Did you know that each year Americans throw away enough plastic wrap to wrap the state of Texas? Did you know that its illegal to take a picture of a rabbit during the month of June in the state of Wyoming? Did you know that Mark Twain was born when Halley's comet was in view in 1835 and when he died in 1910, Halley's Comet came into view again? Did you know that a woman spends an average of 5 days a year looking at herself in the mirror? Did you know the acid in your stomach is so powerful it could dissolve a razor blade? Just thought you might be interested. Take care and sleep well tonight.

How about the stomach acid? So if you've swallowed a razor blade you just need to keep it in your stomach till it dissolves. :)

@RubyHawk I should think they would. You wouldn't want to be waiting to see if it got 'passed' safely.

@LoriAMoore The end of the discussion says stomach acid could dissolve a razor blade and the comments led on from that.

I believe I would want it out as fast as possible. Come to think of it. What would a doctor do. Surgery probably.

Wow, that's a lot of plastic wrap. I never use the stuff so I'm not guilty ..... well, not for that anyway. Rabbits, like lizards, are too fast to get pictures of no matter what time of year. I've known men who spend more time looking at themselves in mirrors, or any other shiny object they can see themselves in. I'm not going to swallow a razor to test that theory Interesting trivia

I think it depends @RubyHawk some of the things I buy are in glass jars which I can recycle, but who knows what can be done with the plastic the frozen foods come in.

@rebelann I wish plastic could be recycled. there must be some way. Maybe in tar for the roads or something like that.

I'm sorry to say I do get food and probably other stuff in plastic. I don't like it but what can you do to avoid plastic?

It's amazing that there are so many unrealistic and outdated laws in the USA. For example, In Florida, the state constitution allows for freedom of speech, a trial by jury, and pregnant pigs to not be confined in cages.

@RubyHawk They ARE kind of funny, though, as long as they're not enforced.

We have so many outdated laws that were useful long ago but make no sense now. they should be taken off the books.

Thanks for commenting. This was a trivial discussion but I couldn't think of a thing to discuss. I was tired from a long day.

I knew about the acid in the stomach, but, no, not about the rest. @RubyHawk , a bit puzzled about it being illegal to take a photo of a rabbit during June, that's going to stick in my mind. :)

I had never thought about how much time I spend in front of the mirrow but i would guess about 30 or 45 minutes a day, according to where I'm going.

I only knew about Mark Twain and stomach acid, I try NOT to look at myself in the mirror so, that might be a little off for me, lol.

I have to look in the mirror to comb my hair and put on lipstick so I'm not sure how the time adds up.
