The more you post (discussions/responses/comments) the more you are eligible to earn

That translates into 'the more you post, the more you can earn.' (Notice...that is can, not will.)
People always want to know how to 'earn more' here, but they simply don't put the effort into it to do it.
To 'post' does not mean 'start a discussion'...it means anything you write.
You get paid for replies you receive to responses and comments you make, as well as replies to discussions you start. (Also for receiving 'likes' to those posts)
But you need to be putting some effort into it.
The more you post, the more opportunities you have of people replying back to you...but if your post consists of only 'yes' or 'I agree' or some other nonsense, then people are likely not going to reply to it...so you won't earn for it.
If you seriously want to earn more, then start being seriously active.
It isn't that hard...

I find it much easier now since I figured a better way to do it.

@JolietJake I just had to add that I've just visited one of the posts I commented on during my last visit. The author's response was "Oh....". I couldn't even bring myself to hit the like button on that one.

It does indeed take an investment of time, which many users seem to expect to earn a lot by not doing much.

I agree. And I'm sure you are glad that I agree. And I agree that you should be glad that I agree. Just as I am sure you are glad that I agree that you should be glad that I agree.
I was looking back to see if you were looking back to see if I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me...
In all seriousness, you make a very good point and I am a case study of just that. At certain times of year I am able to be more active on the site and my earnings, while not enough for a car payment, are enough for a couple cups of expensive coffee from Starbucks. Other times of the year, when busy with school, a book, etc, my activity level declines and so do my earning.

I spend entirely too much time here, but then again, I don't have much else to do, so...

@JolietJake I wonder if the algorithm even counts . as a response
The people that need to read this sort of discussion never do.
You should copy it and just paste it to various discussions asking about earnings

@JolietJake If you reply to every single response to your thread, you would have made a lot.
Now we hardly see a discussion thread with 100 responses.
That is a pity.

You only get more money for replies you make if those replies are interacted with

There is a point of diminishing returns though. Quality still outdoes quantity.

I'm just glad to get them across to a few more people when I do these discussions...we're consistently getting new people that just don't quite 'get' it at first.

Much over $30 a month ain't gonna happen for most users, and $30 not for many.

Very nicely said. I only wish that people actually took the time to read it but it is almost guaranteed sometime later today somebody is going to ask how you earn on here or complain that their bank isn't moving.

I like it when there is something to interact with. It makes the effort easier. I also like it when there are pictures of cats.

I tend to get frustrated with those who post only a sentence of two.....you know. "I'm tired, think I will take a nap" "I'm about to have my lunch of macaroni and cheese" sigh.....
and yes, it's hard to reply to a comment that is just "have a nice day" or "thanks for sharing".

I always wanna tell those 'have a nice day' people "Don't you tell me what kind of day to have!"

This is so true!
You write and then you forget about yourself and read others , then you will start to see money coming in.
So if those that want to make more could not understand you, maybe they read the comments and understand me.
Right?

If people just come here and have a bit of fun sharing with others, the money will take care of itself. There's a lot of chaff, but there's a lot of good stuff going on as well.
