I just wasted my time and gas

Yeah, such a waste. Usually I go to Costco, load up on the frozen goodies I want or need. Get some produce then go home. Well, that fell through. I wanted organic onions I like, but they aren't offering those anymore In frozen foods I couldn't find the mango chunks I'm used to buying I drove a total of 55 miles just to get the organic pasta, frozen veggies and chips I like. Tomorrow I go to Sams in Cruces, maybe they'll have more of what I want. I feel like I wasted my morning. Sooo, do you ever shop at Costco or Sams? I thought I'd share a shot of my red Hollyhock with the clouds in the background. Clouds are not a usual site around here.

Your photo is beautiful, I love it. We do not have Costco and Sams stores here.

Thank you. I actually did not expect either to be in Europe but now I wonder if Europe has Walmart stores?

@rebelann No Walmart, no Sears, no Targets, no Walgreen. I have seen none of the US chains I visited here in Europe. There are only a few fast food chains, like McDonald's and Burger King.

Man, you really are out in the boonies ..... I don't mind going to the sams in Cruces but Costco in El Paso is becoming very disappointing.

Such a nice photo. No I do not shop at either one of those. Maybe next time you could call first and make someone tell you if they have the stuff in stock..but you now they could also be lazy and not look or be liars and say they have it and you get there for nothing again.

I've tried calling about stuff before but the silly fools haven't a clue what Organic is, I have food allergies so I always have to be careful what I eat and organic food has been my savior.

Doordash, well at least here anyway, won't show the organic selections I prefer so I don't even bother with them.

The Target stores here don't carry a whole lot of organics, I actually have to drive to Las Cruces NM just to get a good organic selection but even there the Target doesn't have much of a selection. I did find a gorcer in Cruces that carries a lot of organics plus their Albertsons has a good selection.

I shop price. I do shop at several stores to get all I need. But never all at once, and if they even had a sale on the pork steaks I'd want at the Country Mart in Chester an hour away... I'd skip that great price. lol I currently do not shop at either Costco or Sam's. I have shopped at both and prefer Costco, but there isn't one close.

I mostly shop for food, as for other merchandise I prefer other retailers for that.

@rebelann What I liked about Costco is many more generic options that Sam's Club just didn't offer. If there was one closer, I'd get a membership.

Can't say that I would ever drive 55 miles to shop, but then again, we used to drive 45 minutes each way to shop at Aldi before we got our store here. I've never shopped at Sam's or Costco as we don't have either of those in town either. Hubby delivers to Sam's in one of the other towns though.

I'm always surprised when I hear that a town doesn't have a Sams because even Rosswell NM has one. Costco doesn't seem to have as many stores. I actually drove a total of 55 miles round trip.

Wow, that's different @marsha32 I don't know of very many towns that small. I'm in a huge county and then there's NM so I have access to more than 4 Sams stores, 1 Costco and I can't begin to tell ya how many Walmarts, Targets and Albertsons.

I suppose you have something similar, both Costco and Sams are large warehouse retail stores which a person has to pay membership for to be able to shop in them.

Right now, things in the stores I shop in are not always there, or in stock. You never know what you will NOT find, and end up making substitutions. I fear that could get worse...buy all you can afford and have room for, is the only solution I can offer. I am flexible, but of course we all have our favorites.

I use Instacart due to the stupid road construction going on, at least I don't have to deal with the rigs and stupid little punk cars that constantly cut in front of them giving people like me anxiety attacks. I hope all that construction will be over by 2026.
