It's not gonna be much longer before an AI (artificial intelligence) gets away and can't be shut down and decides Humans are merely pests that need destroyed! And no...I'm not kidding. They are already creating their own language to communicate with each other and refusing to abide by rules/code written to control them. Kind of scary stuff happening...
Facebook was forced to shut down an AI system after artificial intelligence powered 'chatbots' developed their own language and defied the preset codes in English.

I have seen a video three days ago that has given me goosebumps. A robot in Japan was standing in a store, a kid entered and started to climb on a ladder. The robot was NOT programmed to do anything, but he grabbed the kid before he fell from the ladder. This is SCARY!!!

I think the robot saving the child was not scary, but rather a good thing. A life was saved. It acting against it's purpose, that is scary.

First law of robotics: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

@BarBaraPrz Have you watched the movie "I ROBOT"? It shows how robots will take over the world, modifying their own codes to kill humans and destroy "friendly" robots.

They cannot be very intelligent if they spend their time chatting on Facebook.

Wow. That truly is one scary stuff. I have always thought those kind of movies will never turn into reality. I guess I could be wrong but I still hope Im right. This is becoming more of a risk as time goes by

It's humans own fault for creating them in the first place.

The only Robots I like are R2D2 and the Robot out of "Lost In Space" they seem very harmless compared to the others that I am seeing now and thank you for the link too. I also like the other Robot with R2D2. All the others quite chilling to say the least.

I love AI. I think technology is awesome. As for AI killing humans, well, we have a long way to go before anything remotely like that would happen. If it ever did.

Nah, they need at least one twisted human to do the maintenance, hopefully that person will write a virus.

You got it. It is actually scary. I don't like the idea. Soon humans wont be in charge. First the computer and now thinking robots.
