~Church And The ER~

Hey everyone I hope you are having a good day so far. We went to church this morning and that was awesome like always. =)
My husband is on his way to the ER for an ear infection he has left for way too long untreated. He's been getting headaches from it, his ear is draining and it's so painful. Finally he listened to me and is getting it taken care of. It's always something with him, I feel so bad that he has such a low immune system. =(
Other than that we will be home spending time together once he gets back from there.

My goodness, poor Johnny. Ear infections are the worst. I remember my son used to get them all the time, and the poor guy would scream bloody murder due to the pain and pressure. I hope Johnny's infection clears up quickly, especially since he finally sought treatment.

I am glad your day was good and that he is getting antibiotics for that infection. Remember a lot of antibiotics are free at Publix!

So sorry he is ill. Things that help are to use lots of herbs and spices in your cooking. Garlic is an immune booster, so is parsley. I know you guys do not have a lot of extra money for medicines, but good, flavorful food will help they whole family.

@Gardengerty The weird thing is we use garlic so much! We love it. We use parsley on our chicken and in pastas.

@LadyDuck Yeah, he works late most days then says he's too tired. But he did go yesterday, waited 5 hours and came back. He has no insurance so they kept putting him at the bottom of the list.
He said he's going to try another hospital today and hopefully get seen.

Good that he is finally get the ear infection taken care of. He will feel so much better once he gets some antibiotics. Enjoy the rest of your day.

That's sad,,,but that is all you need more bills! I think Urgi Care or one of those CVS Minute clinics might have worked out better, but at least he's treated.

@LovingMyBabies They do, but you will end up paying through the nose for an ER visit. There has got to be a low cost health care clinic in Jacksonsville. Almost every community has one..there is even one here. Becoming one of their clients is something you guys need. They go on a sliding scale.

@snowy22315 He sat there waiting and after 5 hours finally left. He has no health insurance so they kept putting him at the bottom of the list...
Doesn't CVS charge you for care up front?

@bunnybon7 Thank you. He has to go to a different hospital because that one made him wait 5 hours after constantly telling him he was next.
He has no insurance so I'm not surprised by how he was treated there...

@velvet53 Well he didn't get seen after waiting 5 hours! He's going to a different hospital today.
He doesn't have insurance so he kept being put back at the bottom of the list.

I hope your husband starts feeling better soon. It's always difficult to get men to go to the doctor. Ear infections are just awful.

@Srbageldog Thank you, he has to go to a different hospital at some point today because he was at the other one waiting for 5 hours! They kept saying your next and other people would go back instead...
He has no insurance so I wonder why they didn't want to see him? Hmmm...

@Marilynda1225 He went but after 5 hours of waiting and not being seen my husband gave up. He said he will try to go again after work today to a different hospital. Hopefully they will see him.

@LovingMyBabies We normally have amoxicillin on standby because I get them so often haha when I was little people used to pour peroxide in my ears. It was weird.

Going to church before going to clinic is just the right thing to do. Hope the infection get well soon.
