I wonder if anyone here wonders what anyone is doing New Year's Eve?

Because I'll tell you right now Scar and I will probably be asleep LONG before the ball drops in Times Square.
Heck, it's 6:30 right now and he's already waiting for me to go to bed.
And if I don't go to bed when HE goes to bed, I'll still have to get up when HE gets up, usually 2-3 AM.
Yes, it is a sad state of affairs when my cat sets the hours.

We're with some of the kids at Myrtle Beach, so we're hoping to see some fireworks tomorrow night. But I doubt any of us will be awake at midnight. Happy New Year.

@JolietJake You're not working any parties tonight? Stay warm, wherever you are.

It's been several years since I did midnight voluntarily. A job I had for a while required me to be up running sound etc. at New Year's Eve celebrations, but now I can just go to bed.

@1creekgirl The business I was working with doing New Year's Eve shows did their final one December 31st 2015...we'd been doing them since December 2010 and decided it just wasn't worth the effort really.

I can't take a bath in peace. A cat is usually at the door meowing to come in. Don't know what's so interesting but they think something is. Maybe they're afraid I might drown and they wouldn't get fed. LOL

Scar does not believe any door should ever be closed to him for any reason.

He is the true master of the home. You are but his lowly servant.

My coach turns into a pumpkin long before midnight. I get up early....but don't do well when required to stay up late.

Just like having a kid. I like to watch the news that shows the different fireworks all over the world.

No, it means you're a good hoomin.
Do you have to stop and hold him during thunderstorms? Freckles would get in the "safe area" in the hallway when she sensed a thunderstorm approaching, then stand there and wait for me to drop what I was doing, go into the hall, and sit down and hold her until the storm passed.
As I said in another reply, you can't train a kid, but you can train a pet....or, more precisely, they can train us.

The past few years, I'm sound asleep, while almost everyone in this country watches the ball drop!

Scar has a built in alarm clock, inside him! When you are awake Scar sleeps and when you're sleeping soundly, he wakes up
That's his 24 hour burglar alarm system:)
