I am not at all surprised at all, they drink a big "glass" of tea, it's always black tea and they never add milk. As you can see I did not lie saying that Italians do not drink tea, only 12 countries drink less tea than Italian. I am surprised by the Philippine score.

@hereandthere Because most of the members from the Philippines write that they drink tea every day.

I was a guzzler of tea some years ago almost 8 cups a day but now it is just two. No wonder the rate is down in India

same here, am not a tea drinker so i'm not surprised philippines is down the list. i think the popularity of tea in our country is only in recent years, and maybe more in the urban areas/capital cities.

I have been watching some Turkish movies and shows, and even in the shows, they are constantly making and drinking tea. I'm not surprised.

I thought China would be closer to the top, but I'm not surprised by the US, though we drink a lot of ice tea.

Wow I never knew Turkey was top in tea drinking! You learn something new everyday. I've never had Turkish tea before. Has anyone else?

@youless I do too. Even if it isn't I would love to have it prepared the way they prepare it. This just brings up so many questions. Such as how does this play in a role in their culture? Do they have tea ceremonies? Or is it just treated like an everyday drink like soda or coffee else where?

I drink tea as Coffee is too strong for me most of the times but I do drink it when the fancy takes me but not very often though and does not affect me in anyway its just that I am so used to tea and infusions.
Happy New Year to you all.
