First time this winter.
But I am still wearing sandals, not shoes.
In fact, they might even be considered flip flops, I dunno.
But after holding out for several months, I decided if I was gonna be outside fixing frozen water pipes on a couple houses, I may as well make a nod towards the weather.
Although I hate having more laundry to do

Do like Jerry Lewis. I heard that he only wore a pair of socks one time.

There could be things worse than wearing a pair of socks to start the new year with. As cold as it is, be very careful while you are outside fixing frozen water pipes.

Why not start knitting snocks.. one can knit a pair in a few days, Then continue knitting new ones until it gets warm weather.. Then wash all in.a machine at the same time.. Next winter you will have plenty of socks to change and only need to wash once when the spring comes..

I just hate wearing socks and shoes also, but when I'm leaving home I don them, otherwise I am barefoot and quite happy about it. Socks don't take up a lot of space in the washer or the dryer, so don't stress over that.
Maybe if the Scar wore them he could stay outside a few minutes longer......

'Frozen toe syndrome' is passing around in the state of Illinois! Be careful, to wear thick socks

@kobesbuddy I heard a report today talking about folks escaping the US, getting up into Canada and not having the right clothes on. There went toes and fingers. Frost bit right off.

@sallypup I've been joking around, as usual. Yes, my fingers have been frost bitten and it's terribly painful! It never goes away. I still have poor circulation, during the winter months.

It's been going on a little over 3 years now, it does complicate things a bit

I feel the same way when I finally have to break out the long pants.

Wear socks would be better , you could use the dryer after laundry wash

I have gotten to where I almost always wear socks. Trying to protect my diabetic feet. I do not seem to have neuropathy problems now, but if it hurts like my cold toes hurt, I don't want it. Shoot, I don't want it anyway. I call those slides or shower shoes. They are my preferred warm weather wear, and I do not usually put socks on with them. I wear socks if I am mowing or gardening, and I wear shoes.

I sincerely hope those sandals are being worn inside the house and not outside @JolietJake .

Jail slides, almost. That's what we call them here at least.
