A great day in western Oregon with 56 degrees (13.3 C)

It is unseasonably sunny and warm in western Oregon today. I hope that means that there will be a good turnout for Anne's art quilt presentation. I know that other parts of the country are barely breaking out of the deep freeze from that last big storm and there are piles of snow in other parts of myLot land.
In other parts, it is a very warm summer and the diversity in weather and the international flavor of the site keeps us interested.
We make friends that we will likely never meet, but who knows, maybe someday...

Yes, @LoriAMoore and I had lunch at a restaurant near where I work (and where she lives) last year. Hopefully when I get back from our conference we can meet up again for another lunch (and vain attempt to steal her fake boyfriend).

I think knowing some of Anne's fellow teachers in Germany is about as close to meeting a Mylotter as I've gotten.

Ohhhh, is this one of Anne's lovely quilts? I love the colors and you can really "feel" that environment. It's sunny here too - but supposedly it gradually gets cooler in the next couple weeks. I haven't met any myLotters personally . . . that would be fun though!

We are enjoying a day above 40, that it is okay. Tonight we will see 20!

Well, I do hope the temps "soar" to at least 49.5 for your adventure. There was bright sun south of the river and easily over 50 there. Here at 2PM, we just hit 49.

Here in SW Missouri, we get rollercoaster weather frequently. A few days ago, we had warm, spring-like temps. I loved it! Now it is well below freezing again.
I too enjoy the diversity here on MyLot, about weather and many other topics too. I've never met any MyLotters though.
Is that one of Anne's beautiful quilts?

It did, she gave a little talk and showed a work in progress and people were very interested. Six smaller pieces have sold too.
