If you don't like a 'discussion' because it is too long or short or don't like the content, there is this handy feature called 'scroll'...

...and I use this feature quite often. In fact, I am fairly sure I use that feature more than any other feature here. However, I do agree that whining about things we don't like does give us ample opportunities to create discussions. So bring it on...I always like reading a good b*tchfest. Far be it from me to tell you what you can write or what you should write...

Some posts are meaningless if they are too short. A reader is always free to move on to the next one.

Then tell the companies to produce LCDs tall enough to accommodate all the stuff in a single page. I am too futuristic, isn't it?

I like all kinds, or maybe I dislike all kinds. Whatever. If I have time I will read and comment. You will not catch me complaining, not even about typos. I may come into that realm soon. My keys were sticking badly last night. The keyboard seems to have gotten over it, though.

@GardenGerty Just turn it over and spank it when it misbehaves...

I usually catch my typos, but having said that, I corrected one yesterday from a discussion I posted in 2016

Complaining about what I cannot change seems like a waste of precious time to me but whatever makes people happy I suppose.

That's funny, I tend to steer away from the complaining posts, I hear enough of that in my everyday life that I choose not to listen to that or the rants or the name calling here. They don't do anything for me.

There is no written rule that states that we are "obliged" to read every discussion that is written. I skip what I do not like.

When posts are too short I wonder this... Doesn't the person have more to say on the topic than just a few lines? Unless the person does it on purpose so he/she can have a lot to say in the comments. I have nothing against long posts (actually prefer them to short ones most of the time), however, if the person is just rambling on, or filling up empty space on a page, I hate that.

There must be a hand book on "How to keep people happy?" but then again even that wouldn't be enough to make the "sourpusses" happy.

Probably is, but my handbook is "How to be a jerk and piss people off"

@Plethos Yes, the version pre-May 2013 only allowed a maximum of three per post (discussion/response/comment).

A friend of mine on My Lot wrote a complaint about this site and it got deleted. I would have liked reading it! I wrote about how Tina Turner can really jump around and it didn't even get posted! Discrimination?

If something you wrote 'didn't get posted' then that was not deleted by Admin.

@kobesbuddy A discussion has to post for Admin to see it to delete it. There are no 'automatic' deletions. There is a part in the Guidelines that states we are not to post discussions complaining about this site. Your friend evidently violated those guidelines.

I actually have seen other members complaining when someone posted short messages and they're requiring to explain more but I don't mind if someone posted short messages as long as I can relate to their topics it wouldn't be a big deal for me if I'm not interested I just skip.
