I'll tell ya one thing fer sure...I didn't practice 'catch and release'.
I practiced squash and smash.
It may not be a mosquito, I'm not quite sure was it is, but I wasn't going to offer it any blood to find out.
I do know it is kinda flat now...

@Tampa_girl7 Some of those "lady bugs" are actually an Asian beetle and can attach to the roof of your pets' mouth. I used to have them a lot here. I finally got rid of them, I think.

@JolietJake our cat loves eating bugs. Recently she has been feasting on ladybugs.

He would probably have gone after it if he had seen it. At least it wouldn't 'crunch' like flies do.

It didn't get it, it squished clear.

Looks like a mosquito but isn't it too early for them to be looking for a victim?

It resembles a kind of mosquito, the bigger ones are the males. From what I've been told, the smaller pesky mosquitoes are the females! LOL
Thanks, for squashing it!

Actually no, the females are bigger, and only the females drink blood. The big things you see are likely not mosquitoes but crane flies.
This is a crane fly, not a mosquito
