Pizza Time

To celebrate National Pizza Party Day, I decided to make a completely healthy pizza. It didn't turn out perfect, but it still tastes pretty darn good. What I love about it is the lack of grease.
I need to figure out how to get the consistency for the crust right. I had to eat it with a fork because it crumbled to pieces when I tried to take it off the pan. Other than that, it's good.
My toppings are baby bella mushrooms, diced onions, hamburger, and pineapple on a tomato sauce base.
I had to keep adding flour to the dough because it was too moist. Next time I'll cut down on the milk required for this. The recipe calls for a half cup of fat free milk. I used cashew milk, it's fat free. Next time I'll cut that in half and see if that makes the consistency of the dough more like it should be.
Anyway, as you can see in the picture, I celebrated the day. Did you have pizza today? Thanks for reading.

Cashew milk is totally different from skim milk. If this was a basic flour crust recipe that you adapted then I can see why it may not have worked out. Baking is a science and you can't just change things. Gluten forms in doughs which gives them their strength and elasticity.
Next time I'd just use the half cup of skim milk and call it a day. It isn't going to derail your results. Trust me.

That is a day I can get behind and celebrate. Mushrooms and onions on pizza taste very good. I also enjoy peppers, My old girlfriend used to make a Mexican pizza that was delicious. Peppers, mushrooms and of course olives. Add a little sour cream and it tasted so good

@just4him Yep! My uncle made a good homemade pizza when he was living. I usually go to my favorite tavern for homemade pizza at home it is usually the frozen kind.

@lnillerman Cheese isn't on my diet plan, and I don't like pepperoni on a good day. Enjoy your greasy pizza.

I would have a hard time omitting dairy from my diet. If we do cooking in our classroom it has to be gluten free, lactose free, and reduced sugar. We have had good luck with Bob's Red Mill Flour as it can be used exactly like other wheat flour. Maybe coconut milk would work in your recipe.
