Scar takes off...again...

So sometime between 5 - 5:30 this morning, Scar slipped out of his collar and wandered off.
I wasn't real worried this time...I've more-or-less accepted that no matter what I do, when he gets it in his head to go, he's gonna be gone.
So I just went out every 20-30 minutes down to the end of the yard and hollered for him.
7 hours later, he answered me.
And I picked him up and we talked and I brought him in and all was good.
For about 10 minutes...and then...

@JolietJake And I thought those things were supposed to prevent them from being able to take them off.
Doesn't seem like he is a fan of it though.

He pulls on the lead hard enough that the collar starts loosening and then he slips it over his head. The thing is, I can leave it loose enough that it would almost fall off, and 19 times out of 20 he leaves it on anyway.
It's that 20th time...

The dude has to do what a dude does. He wants no stinkin' leash, man.

Have asked what was he doing all these 7 hours?
! Our dog Kaalu used to abscond for days and just used to come to our place to show his face that he is there for few minutes and again to abscond during the breeding season...I think he just used to come to see our mood and attitude towards him! Thanks!

They are like little kids.
However, my dogs, only stay out for a short time, then want to come back in, and then out again...Of course, even though I have a bowl of water outside for them, I believe they think it is for a bath and won't go near it (they wouldn't fit into the bowl, but that is the only reason I can see why they won't drink from it) so that is why they go in and out all day long..

Seven hours out in that dangerous world, then Scar spends seven seconds indoors! He's in love, J.J.
