Bedtime snack!

My young neighbor friend (age 10) came over earlier tonight for help with his homework and a piano lesson. We are working on Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d-minor on our keyboards.
I had chicken noodle soup for dinner after he left, but I was slightly hungry later in the evening. So I had a single Trader Joe's Tempura Shrimp for my middle-aged midnight snack (meaning that it was 9 PM).
Since then, I have been talking to friends on the phone and practicing guitar, both in "alternative " tunings and in standard tuning.
My snack was actually quite good, and only one or two pieces always keep me going. The soy dipping sauce is slightly sweet and quite satisfying.
Do you have a favorite late night (by your standards) snack food?

Actually i will be taking a heavy dinner at night, But i know that is not good for health. Its the time i will be able to have food enjoyably. Because in morning and afternoon will be busy in my works and that effects my food habit badly

@sunilparthan I am a doctor. Do you really believe what doctors say? They're all full of beans! Just eat OK, exercise a lot, and be happy with work and love, and you will be fine.

I like tempura. I can't live a day without rice. So I had rice and chicken.

@TheHorse I thought only Asians eat rice.

@jobelbojel Heh. I may be a "closet Asian." I love Japanese, Thai, and Chinese food. All involve rice.

I rarely snack at all between meals, but that sounds pretty good.

I sometimes have a strawberry smoothie. Not a big coffee drinker.

@TheHorse I picked up some protein powder mix. Its not bad in water, might try the chocolate smoothie recipe on the can in the morning.

@wolfgirl569 I've never used protein powder in my smoothies. Do you think it would be helpful in some way? I'm an omnivore, so I don't worry much about protein.

It all depends when I get hungry. Some nights I watch a movie and just have to eat something. Yesterday I had made a meatball stew for me and my friend's family and some was left over. Guess what I was stuffing in at about 10 PM just had to have it but I try not to do that too often.

It depends on what kind of mood I am in when I make said late night snack. Most of the time its chips and salsa.
Peeked your pack of smokes in the pic. Expensive tastes old man.

@thislittlepennyearns That's me! Bring on those young gals and I'll give them chocolate and truffles and caramel and then send them home to drive their parents and/or boyfriends mad!

@TheHorse You sound like a perfect sugar daddy.
And I haven't said a more awkward sentence all week.
I do the Camel Turkish Jades. Which are more than expensive enough for me.

It looks delicious.
I don't have mid night snacks generally but on weekends when I am awake late watching movie, I go for popcorn or salted peanuts. I do not mind a lemonade or tender coconut juice with it.

I usually have a meat stick or some cheese. I really have not been snacking lately. I would like to, but then I have to say, "is it good for my blood sugar"? and "do I want to make it"? Often the answer is "no" to both.

I avoid having late night snacks; it's just water for me.

I know this sounds silly, but I eat a bowl of oatmeal with milk, before going to bed. If I don't have a starch and a protein at bedtime, I wake up during the night, from low blood sugar. At times, I will eat some chips or 5-6 Triscuits, instead.
