Thank You - It's a Hard Day

I've been reading posts and comments to my posts all morning. I got up totally depressed. It's been over a week since I've been to the pool. I looked at the bus schedule to see if I could get there with minimal trouble. It would take over an hour to get there with the route the bus takes. I would be going through most of the city just to get there, and I only live three miles from the pool.
It's not a long way but it might as well be. I sent my son a message last night and still waiting on a reply to when he is likely to get my car worked on.
The only thing good about my day now is being here or working on my book. I'm making great progress with it. I also watch TV at the end of my day.
You make my day worthwhile. I need to get back to the pool. I hope it will be soon. Thank you.
Thanks for reading. How's your day going?

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving Valerie Lord. Thank you Father for her car being fixed in your time. Father, I ask for your peace to cover over her and I pray Lord God that you show her you are working on her needs. Lord, I ask for blessing and favor to shower over her today! Remind her that the best blessings are always in your time and your way. I ask that you fill her heart with your joy and your song! In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!

I feel so bad for you that you are having a bad day.
Missing the pool and the car are 2 hard things to take for you being used
to those every day.
Courage, it will pass and you will be so happy when everything is back to normal, which is my best wishes for you.

Oh, Valerie, you must feel very cooped up. Yes, myLot is a window to the world and we will all be glad when you can get back into the routine of swimming again.

Yes, I am feeling cooped up. I'm very happy for myLot and this window to the world. If my son would return my text, I would be very happy.

Yes, it could. I know that. However, it doesn't help. Yesterday, I was downright snappish. Very unlike me. I'm doing my best today not to be like that, but I can feel it's still there.
I did get out of the apartment for a little while yesterday. My friend asked me if I wanted to go to Wal-Mart. I got my garbage out at the same time. I got a few necessary groceries, I didn't get last time, keeping in mind what I need for the car.

That is tough when we are kept for one reason or another, from something we love.
Do you have any neighbors that also go to the gym?
I hope you get your can back soon.

I thought your neighbor was going to let you borrow her car. Maybe if you went later in the day, one of your church friends or writers club friends could take you. Depression is no fun, I hope you feel better..and the pool thing can get worked out.

I've not been up long, but I'm hanging here for while and then I want to work on receipts for the business so I can finally get that done. I keep putting it off, so we'll see how I do after the day is over.
Have you made friends with any other residents there that might be willing to drive you to the pool for the price of gas and bring you home again? Maybe they'd even want to get a swim in? Otherwise, you may just need to ride around town to get your pool time in. Just look at the route for the trip home so you don't get caught in rush hour either direction.
When I first got out of high school and again once I returned to this area I didn't have a car. I used the dial a ride which is not quite the same as a bigger bus, but it still had it's routes to run before I could be dropped off. I learned how soon I had to get on to make it to work on time and sometimes I had to sit with one bus until another one came to move over to. It takes up more of our days than we want, but it's better than walking for some distances or situations.
Does the bus stop near your apartment complex? Otherwise, would your son be willing to drive you to swim a few days per week? You may need to go later in the day as I'm sure most people aren't us swimming as early as you tend to be.

The woman who said I could use her car won't get up that early, or she would. The way home on the bus would be a lot shorter than the trip to the pool. If it weren't such a waste of time, I would take it. The bus stops right out front of the complex.
My son works so he doesn't have the time to take me to the pool. No, I'll wait until I have my car back. Thankfully, I do have a ride to church on Sunday. I put that message on FB yesterday.
There are quite a number of people who swim at five in the morning. There have been days when there are 10-12 people in the pool.

@just4him I guess it will depend on how long or how fast it will take your son to fix your car. If you found something to do on the bus ride it would help it not seem such a waste of time. Since you don't use your phone for other things you'd want to take paper and a pen and maybe write notes or a shopping list or whatever.
Otherwise, if you are going to wait until you car is fixed, then you have to work on not letting it depress you.

I think things happen because they are supposed to, good and bad. So maybe your car being broken down is a sign that you avoided a car accident that would have harmed you as well, or the pool guy did not use the proper amounts of chemicals and it would hurt you.
You are where you are supposed to be, I know its hard, I have been without a way to go.

Thank you. I know that was true for the day I had the car towed. The chemicals were wrong in the pool and the exercise pool was the only one they could use. I know the hot tub has been out of commission again as well. There's always an upside.

Is it feasible to get to the pool by taxi or Uber?
