Four weeks and three days. That's how long I was without my car due to all the insane weather we had in March that kept my son from getting my car done and back to me.
When he brought it back, he told me to listen for any grinding because the front brakes don't have long. No, they didn't. They were grinding bad on the way home from prayer last night. I called texted him and talked to him. I'm not to drive it and he will pick it up next week and take it to his place to fix the brakes. So, here I sit once again. At least it will only be a few days this time, not a month. I'm hoping he can get to it the day he picks it up, but he did say he's got three others in front of me right now. I must wait my turn.
I'm wearing a hat and will continue to wear this hat which covers my full head of hair. I will not take this hat off for any reason until I can make an appointment I won't need to cancel. I will be calling my hair salon this morning and canceling my Wednesday appointment.
It's the only thing I can give up since I already bought groceries and paid all my bills.
It also means no pool until the car is fixed again. I hate being dependent on people to get me around.
This morning's Bible Study was just for me. It showed me God is in control.
How is your day going? Thanks for reading.

When steel rubs on steel in our brakes, the price for repair goes way up. The pads we need to replace are cheap, but the other parts are expensive. That's why it's so important, to not drive the car. I had this happen, on one of my cars.

@kobesbuddy With snow coming, it could be more later than sooner that it gets done.

Car troubles can be a big bother. Yes, God is the co-pilot for us all everywhere we go.

So far my day has been peaceful. It sounds like your car is putting you through the wringer. I would be totally fed up about now, I also do not like to depend on others for a ride. Hopefully this will be the last of the bad run with the car.

It should be. My son said the back brakes are good, and he checked the plugs and they're good, so no tuneup needed. It's a good little car. I just need patience with all the bad weather we've had preventing it from being done. Snow in the forecast again today through Friday.

Not yet. Was looking at getting them done today. He had three cars ahead of mine, and now with the snow in the forecast, it could take longer, but still hoping to have them done by the end of the week. Saturday looks like a good day.

Cars are such a big responsibility. It is like having another member of the family, it is like having a pet. You have to spend money for it's upkeep. It is very expensive. I just wish my family and I didn't have to have cars to live life comfortably.

I should be getting them done this week, weather permitting as we're expecting snow again.

Certainly can't take a chance driving the car when the brakes are grinding. I feel bad that you will be without your car once again.

You made it to the pool mist of the days this week and know you have added time before you have to pay on your Y membership and I don't think front brakes are as costly as back so you should short to go soon and worrying about brakes will be out of the picture. There is a reason and God's timing will be perfect.
