Played Mostly On The House

No. This time the wifey and I did not go to the casino. We DO like to gamble, for whatever that's worth, and as good as we are about our money it's the one thing we actually spend more on than we probably should.
Between the casino, lottery, and horse races, in a given year I can't tell you what we spend. But I am sure it adds up to a couple of thousand dollars a year at the minimum.
But it's our little vice, and it's not like we don't have it to spend.
Today, just wanted to get out of the house for a little bit. So we went around to various gas stations and I got some scratch offs for the wife and I bought MegaMillions and regular Lotto tickets for the multi million dollar drawings. I don't play the scratch offs. The wife does. I am going for the millions—lol.
Had $26 in winning tickets we cashed in, and while we actually spent a little over $30 on lottery tickets combined, we still played mostly on the house.
I will let you know when I make my big debut on winner's circle at the local lottery commission.

"Good afternoon.Never know when you going to hit it.I am sure that you will with the confidence that you have.Good Luck By the way I take 10%"
The last place we went to, Par-A-Dice in East Peoria, Illinois, some guy won like $13,000. I walked out up $42 and was happy. Although the wife lost $70. But we took $200 and gambled $100 a piece. So, for 3 hours of entertainment we were only down like $28. I'll take that. Can I charge you 10% of my losses? Looks like you owe me $2.80. When can I expect a check?

II love to gamble and mostly lose. I can never get away from the casino when I am winning so the difference is how long can I stay there. My husband taught me not to take my credit card there and take only the money I would spend in any show that I would like to go.

@marguicha Ooh. I bet that was fun. The most I ever won was in Vegas. $400. My wife and my mom were there and I was ready to leave but they were playing these machines. I stuck $5 in while I waited, hit the button, and instantly the screen went nuts and I won the $400. I played a very small amount. Had I played max I might have walked away with thousands. Oh well. It was still a very profitable wait.

Oh yeah. That's our thing. The amount of money we gamble with is money we can afford to lose. We NEVER expect to walk away with anything left. So, any time we do is a win. But it's fun. Even if we mostly lose, it's still fun. One day we might get to have security come over to help us with a big win. If not? That's okay too. But yes...I would NEVER use credit to gamble with.

@just4him But YOU would be THAT person at the podium. "I never played but thought one day, what the heck, bought a ticket and..."
Won a hundred million dollars...
While some silly bloke like me plays all the time for the past 30 years and can't win a dime.

@andriaperry Weird when I hear of states that do not have lottery. At least you are close enough to be able to play when you want to.

Well all I can say is best of luck on winning millions! I'd play, but I don't believe I'd win! I know though, you got to play to win lol
