Hubby was on the computer, I went to bed.

With the wifi not working, we only can get online one at a time. Hubby waits patiently. I believe that the pneumonia shot had a strong effect on me, as I am tired and achy. I do not get that from the flu shot. Not sure how many times I just laid down and slept yesterday. That is totally not how I usually am. That is why I chose a three day weekend to get my vaccinations. It is said that if you get enough rest they work better and give you a stronger immune response. I am up and around now, for a while. I still may do a lot of napping today.

@GardenGerty I remember I got one year I think it was age 65 both the flu and the pneumonia shots together. I cannot remember how I felt. I hope you achiness goes away soon. Take care of yourself and smart when you decided to get the shots.

Here in the US, after you are 65 they want you to get two pneumonia shots, one year apart. They work on different strains, I guess. Last years hurt some. This year hurts a lot more but I figure I am having a strong immune response. Two years ago I got pneumonia, so I want to be covered from now on.

That's not good news about the shot. Sounds like some kind of odd reaction. That's good you rested and plan to do more today. I think this is a 3 day weekend for you so you can rest tomorrow as well before work Tuesday.

I think the reaction means I am having a strong immune response. Yes, I planned for this to be a long weekend to rest. It is better today, and the hot shower helped a lot.

I wasn't tired when I got my pneumonia shot but my arm sure was sore. So was the other arm where I got a tetanus shot. Made sleeping uncomfortable.

Hubby could not get any shots as he has the infection and is taking anti biotics. Yes, this is very sore. I think he and I both need a TDaP. I have heard they are expensive. we work outside enough the tetanus is important. The pertussis is important for him as the cancer treatments weakened his immune system. I am around kids, so pertussis is recommended for me as well. I am glad I got both shots in the same arm, so I would not have two sore arms.

@BarBaraPrz Oh the pharmacist wanted to do separate arms but I told him my right arm is always sore anyway and I did not want it.

You all have to take pneuomonia shots annually? Blink...I love my India. We don't take flue shots and pneumonia shots. So sorry for you all... I hate injections.

I take flu shots because I do not want to have the flu. I do not have to, but consider it wise. I had pneumonia two years ago, and at 65 they recommend getting the shots, so I am.

I was told when I had my flu injection to take it easy for a few days as my body would be 'busy' building antibodies. I thought it was a good way to put it.

I try to schedule shots for times when I can rest a bit. You are supposed to rest before hand as well to be "ready".

I just do not remember what kind of response I get from the various shots I get but it probably wasn't much. Rest and eat would be my choice.

LOL Rest and eat is always your choice. You did not seem to have any reactions that I remember from the pneumonia shots. I never react to the flu shots.

Do your router only have one LAN entry? We have plenty of things attached to the router, we do not use wi-fi.

I am glad you are starting to feel better. The flu shot for me has no reaction. The pneumonia shot seems to grab hold of you and make many people a lit bit miserable.
