A Little Space Heater That Really Puts Out

My "man room" gets kind of cold sometimes. Last year I had a little space heater I used in the room. But I moved that to the living room. It puts out enough heat even if it is quite small. But today, earlier in the day, I was getting very cold in my room and I thought, I would like to have another little space heater for it. We were going to Walmart anyway for some other stuff, so I went down that aisle that had the space heaters and took a look. Much to my surprise there was a tiny little space heater there for $13. I checked it out, considered it, and thought, let me just see what this little guy can do. I put it under my desk and plugged it in, and I have to say, for a tiny little $13 space heater this thing is absolutely perfect for what I need. It's actually a little too warm. I have to shut it off after a couple of minutes. There is no way to regulate the temperature. But this thing makes my work area VERY cozy. I am impressed for the money I spent.

Wow, for $13 you can't go wrong! Just make sure you don't walk away and leave it on, for $13 it may not have built-in safety features such as auto shut-off when it gets too hot.

Definitely. It will cost me far more than $13 if I burn down the damn house.

@porwest Haha, that's for sure! Would suck to lose everything over a $13 gadget!

@moffittjc I think it might be more beneficial to take it to work and leave it on over the weekend and see if I have anything left to go back to on Monday.

My husband has a space heater in "his" room too. He's always cold. Glad yours worked out for you.

@LindaOHio My wife is like that, but she's going through menopause. I am going to use her this winter to melt the ice on the driveway.

One of these little Soleil ones? I have to say I am quite impressed at how much heat this little guy puts out. Very nice. Well worth the $13 I spent for it.

@Hannihar It is on right now as I type this. It is a cozy, cheap, little bugger.

It's tiny compared to most space heaters, Maybe 6" across and about 5" tall.

I had a small one at work under my desk when we were in the old metal building. That was one cold place in the winter. Glad you toes are getting warm now. Just be careful and don't leave it one and leave the room for a long period of time!

That is a cheap price for sure but wouldn't you rather have one you can regulate?

Mostly yes. But just to have a little something under my desk positioned about midway seems to do the trick. It puts out just enough heat and if it gets too warm I can just shut it off.

I just wear a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. My ex came over unexpectedly this afternoon and he laughed at me when he saw me. I was like "what? I'm cold!"

@NJChicaa You might go and see if you can get one of these little guys at Walmart. I mean, it's not going to heat the room, but for $13 it can help you cozy up a bit. Like I said, I am impressed with how much heat this little guy puts out. I had to shut it off.

I use my space heater in the bathroom. I'm always cold during winter coming out of the shower. Sounds like you got a great deal

Sounds like a good deal, so long as it last for a while.I bought one a couple years ago that is really small and cost under $20, not sure exactly since it's been 2-3 years ago now. It works great for what I need it for
