Mississippi Sunset

The sunset was simply gorgeous tonight. I left mid-afternoon to go get the grocery shopping done and it was getting dark when I got out of the store.
Before I put my groceries in the car I got out my cell phone and snapped the above photo.
It was a beautiful sight and I was lucky to catch it at that particular time. By the time I put the groceries in the car and got on the road, the spectacular show was over.
I thought I would share the photo with everyone. Did you have a pretty sunset tonight?

so glad ya took the time to snap that, hon. they disappear quickly 'n i miss 'em quite oft here. well, not 'ntirely, jest've no camera handy'n know such magic 'd be gone 'fore i could fetch one. tend to sit out'n a fence post'n watch's the horses wonder if'n i plan'n givin' 'em their hay (give 'em their grain 1st), lol.
our sunsets 've been a bit'n the pale side 'f late. which's good i reckon, weather wise. means the winds 've not been stirrin' the 'pper atmosphere.

@kareng yes ma'am, they do come'n handy :) i still miss lots 't seems, those sunsets don't last too long 'n by the time i get my phone out'ta my pocket, turned'n 'n find the camera icon - such's usually past, lol.

Wow, that's gorgeous. Love the purple. People post sunset photos on the Facebook pages of the meteorologists I follow, and some of them are simply stunning.

No, it is raining here, it is impossible to see a gorgeous sunset like the one you captured.
