Free is Always Good Right?

Going Krogering again later. My sister always shopped at Kroger and when I would visit she would say she was going Krogering.
We would make a day of it and would stop at Sonic for a Route 44 slush. She would get grape and I always got strawberry. Good memories.
Enjoy these free Kroger coupons in the mail. Two good ones I will use are for Welch's grape juice 64 ounces and Jif peanut butter. I use these products often.
They base the coupons on your shopping history. Pretty cool way to keep you coming back.

Free is usually a matter of perspective and yet I fall for it every single time. 
Nothing is truly ever free. The marketers of the word "free" are VERY clever to make us pay for that free stuff a penny here and a penny there on the other stuff we buy. And they know ALL ABOUT our shopping history, so they know which items to jack up a little bit here and there to make up the difference. We're paying for everything. We just don't know it.

@CarolDM No. I get that totally. I am with you. I was merely pointing out that all that free stuff is passed along in higher prices on all the other things that aren't free or aren't on sale...and those things sometimes wind up in our carts.
It's like the gimmick to get a turkey for 65 cents per pound. That is IF you buy $25 worth of other stuff as well. BUT, if you follow prices like I do, suddenly you realize a LOT of things are 2 cents to a nickel more than they were before the turkeys went on sale. In the end you are paying full price for that turkey. You are just not aware of it.

yepperz, krogerin', lol. sadly there'd be no such stores 'round these parts. nobody to send'ja coupons fer goods ya purchase oft.
free? sure, when i renewed aarp, i got a free tote'n the mail. which's a bummer, i'd rather'd the organizer fer the trunk, lol.

Nothing free lately. I like the fact that Kroger gives you freebies based on what you buy. That's a win-win.
