I'm a Winner

I'm not going to get discouraged because people weren't beating the door down to the lounge to buy my books. In fact, it was a very quiet two hours. My son showed up and we talked and munched on those absolutely delicious heath bars my friend made for the book signing event.
I sold two copies of Scarred and one Thread of Evidence. The marketing director went online and ordered two copies so the YWCA could benefit from Amazon Smile. So, yes, I'm a winner. I came out ahead after paying for the room for two hours. She even told me I could do it again in another week and she wouldn't charge me. Sell them after swimming one day next week. There will be more people in the lounge at that time too. Who knows, just maybe I will sell all of them.
A mother and three adult daughters came in for a class and looked over the books. They bought two of them, one of each to spread through the family. They also read the backs of the Colonial America series I brought with me, and I know I will have sales from those as well. I told them they could get them from a local bookstore.
I took three copies of Scarred and sold two. I had six copies of Thread of Evidence and sold one. I'm a winner.
I know Friday morning was a bad time as most people work. The Y isn't open after 1 on Saturday or Sunday either. So, I was relegated to working hours for many people.
I will say, the Heath bars were awesome. I had a few.
That was my morning. Above is a picture my son took. How is your Friday? Thanks for reading.

That's why she bought it. The receptionist just finished her Kindle version yesterday and told her it was a great book. With the book being passed around the family, I'm sure it will get passed to others as well. It's one way to get my name out there.
She did a great job on my hair. I love it.

@crazyhorseladycx Yes, it does dry faster. I'm happy with today's results. I had my son sign beneath the map he did.

@kobesbuddy I dyed my hair for years and then came the time when I couldn't get to the salon for three months due to my finances and my hair looked fabulous with the silver look and haven't dyed it since.

@just4him By the way, I'm letting my hair grow in its' natural color. I used dark brown hair dye for a year, but I don't want to mess with it any longer. Jay doesn't care, if I color it or not! So why bother? lol

Thank you. I was surprised I sold more Scarred than Thread of Evidence. I sold two of the three I brought with me and one Thread of Evidence. I know from what people told me, they love Thread of Evidence and are making certain the characters will be in the sequel. I've assured them they are and I can see the relief in their features when I tell them that. I'm looking at the sequel to be ready for publishing in 2021.
