My butt is safe for the next two weeks. Even though there is no toilet paper at the Dollar Tree.

Horse Jr.'s mom and I went to the Dollar Tree this evening. We scored some dish soap, vinegar, squirt bottles, Comet, and other stuff related to cleaning our kitchens. But there was no toilet paper or bleach to be found. Fortunately, we both have some bleach on hand, and I was able to buy two rolls of paper towel at Safeway earlier today (they also had no toilet paper). So my bottom will be clean, if a tad irritated, over the next two weeks (I already have cortisone cream), and my kitchen will be germ free. What have you been buying recently?

I always have extra TP on hand so when the crisis hit I was already prepared. Hopefully it's enough. Guess we'll see what happens if the shortage continues and the creative ways people come up with for butt wiping.

I heard those CVS receipts working like a charm. Some stores do have crazy long receipts. I bought one item and get 10 pages back, makes you laugh.

Gouger! Does that include thorough wiping and a lower back massage?

@TheHorse Ewwww! That would cost you 59 billion dollars. I need time to consider that fee.

@DianneN I could pay the furthest digit to the right. But you forgot the hundredth and thousandth places! Clearly, we need to negotiate.

I am gentle and kind to all creatures. Including myself. My butt will be fine. I only bought two rolls of paper towel. That should be enough for a month or so.

Nothing. Not a damn thing. lol. Because of the way I shop already, I already have more than I need. But my aim is more to save money. I am not buying into this panic. Not at all.

I'm forced to isolate a bit, as the school in shut down. But I'm going take this opportunity to get my car worked on and get some writing done, not just on MyLot. Hey, there's also a song I'm working on that's hard for me. I hadn't heard it before but it has a cool key change that makes it non-boring. Have you heard of Blue Train?

we have been trying to shop normally. My wife tends to like to have lots of TP and other stuff available so we are ok for the next couple of weeks.

Sounds good.I'm set now, and I saw plenty of groceries at Safeway. I even bought hearts of palm to make my salads "fancier."

I sent hubby grocery shopping this weekend. (I was teaching and knew I couldn't get to the store) Our regular shopping is about every three to four weeks and it had been four weeks. The plan had been to wait another week, but as things seemed to ramp up, the decision was made...he would shop....yikes....he shops strictly by the list. We still had a new package of TP so I said...enough for about four weeks...we'll be okay. Cleaning supplies....I have a 1/2 gallon of hand soap (already in the cupboard) a pkg of Lysol wipes in the bathroom (almost new) and three bottles of dish soap (on sale last time I had shopped). No panic buying....but golly miss Molly....I wish people would just chill with the TO already.

Do you know that your septic system will handle paper towelling? It's good you're all organised.

I assume it's true in Australia as well: Paper towel tears neatly in one direction, but becomes a mess if you try and tear it in another. I tear it in the "right" direction and mike neat little strips, which can then be folded into perfect tushy wiping size. I wouldn't dare flush a who piece of paper towel down the toilet.

We stocked up on toilet paper (I could make a fortune selling it) while there was still some on the shelves, canned foods, and corn meal. Have to have fried corn bread, virus or no virus. Glad to know you at least found a TP subsitute.

Nothing to stock, Well I got diet drinks but I always do that. I already had a stock of TP from last year. Is that a Salvador Dali painting?
