June 20 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm not waiting until later for this. I'm so happy right now and so blessed it's beyond imagination. Unless you've been through this and I know some of you have.
I'm thankful for my eye exam a short while ago. Several years ago I was diagnosed with cataracts. I've been hoping and praying the day would come when the doctor would say I can have the surgery. TODAY is the day!!!! 
He's sending a referral over to the surgeon and I should get a call from them next week. I won't get both done at once. But within a few weeks, I will go from wearing and needing three pairs of glasses plus sunglasses, to only needing over the counter reading glasses. I won't need glasses. That is so awesome! I've been wearing glasses since I was six years old, first grade. Now, I won't need them for the first time in 60 years. Totally AWESOME!
I'm also thankful I'm getting my hourly steps in, even with the noon appointment. I didn't think I'd be able to, but no problem, so I'll have all my fitness goals achieved too.
I'm also finding the fish I bought is high in potassium. I took out a Whiting filet to thaw. It has 280 mg of potassium.
I also plan on working on Vendetta, so that's another area I'm thankful for. It's coming together.
Right now, I'm going to finish the notifications and move on to Vendetta and get my exercise at the same time.

Great news that you will have that surgery. From what I've heard, it's easy and your eyesight will improve.
I remember your photo. It's still precious, despite your cutting your bangs to the roots just like I did!

You did it too? Wow, we really are sisters.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful birthday despite the virus. It was awesome talking to you and hearing your voice.
I hope today goes wonderfully as you meet your son's girlfriend for the first time and wish your hubby a Happy Father's Day from me. I love both of you to the moon and back. I hope we can actually meet one day.

That is great news. I knew a person who had that done and she got rid of all of her glasses.

Its great to know you now need glasses and it feel relief for sure. Some people also doing that operation here too. Glad to know everything went right at your place. I am thankful to god as keep me healthy and blessing in this serious situation.

How wonderful for you! At times technological advances are a Godsend especially the medical kind. Getting used to not wearing glasses is something you won't mind at all

It is nice your cataract surgery will allow you to be glasses free. My sister and brother in law even though they are younger than I am have had it too, and I think they are glasses free.

Yes, I'm already wishing a happy birthday to Ma'am DianneN. It seems your image before is you are so beautiful in your younger years, but it does not mean you are older you did not look beautiful. But what is important to me is your inner most character that I see, you are such a lovely and wonderful person too. And I'm thankful that I meet you here for a long time.
