I'm a procrastinator....are you?

I guess I always knew I tend to put things off, but it seems clear to me now. When we have leftovers from dinner, unless I'm fixing a plate to send to our son, I usually put the leftover food in the fridge. We seldom eat leftovers. Sometimes I do put them in the freezer, but deep down I know those are going to be thrown away. Yes, I know that's kind of wasteful. Even though I know we won't eat them, I can't bring myself to throw them in the garbage right away. After two or three days, I can justify getting rid of them. When I have a piece of clothing that just never really fits well or suits me, I can give it to the Salvation Army. But not for a few weeks. Heaven knows I put off cleaning the bathrooms. That has nothing to do with procrastination. I just hate cleaning bathrooms. I put off going to Walmart as long as possible. That needs no explanation. This post was inspired by one from AmberLynn @ScribbledAdNauseum. Thanks, Amber! Do you procrastinate? Are there things you tend to say, "I'll get to that one tomorrow" ?

I am a master procrastinator! One Thanksgiving we were putting away all the leftovers. My dad said, "Could we save some work and just put it into the garbage now, instead of in a week?" However, some leftovers are great. I often have them for lunch.

I don't mind leftovers at all, after all, it is the same food than the first serving

Your dad was funny! I eat left overs sometimes, but I just can't bring myself to throw them out right away.

I am the only one that likes leftovers in the family. Well, I can get one of them to eat leftovers with me, but not always. I try hard to only make enough for one meal, but that isn't always possible. I recently got rid of pants that I had when I was in high school, and a shirt I wore in middle school. I kept more clothe than I told myself I would. I don't like cleaning bathrooms either. I spray and walk away a lot more than I should. I don't go to walmart anymore, not unless I really really need to.

@1creekgirl It sounds like it. I am sure there are other things I do or don't do and haven't realized it yet. Or don't want to admit.

I put off stuff all the time. Throwing food in the garbage can? No cause it would be a huge mess. I do have a separate container for compost and if there is too much food stuff not eaten, the hens get it.

Yes, I procrastinate sometimes. I don't like making plans as I know I will not be able to do it when I can procrastinate of doing it in another day. I think that is why I am mostly a spontaneous person.

I am definitely a procrastinator but of course it depends on what the situation is. I will say I am better about the leftovers now . . . I don't freeze them, but I can mix and match them to make a meal of some sort - I have the time to think and manage food better. Clothing that won't fit - I shove them in a bag and then shove them in the garage . . . I will gather the bags at some point to donate all at once. Bathrooms - I figure our showers are doing the cleaning . . . but toilet areas definitely have to be cleaned often or it just gets super gross. Walmart - I know that one too - but that one gets fixed easily if I just go to Target .

YES, I am a procrastinator, I putt off doing everything I dislike to do like cleaning the oven, mowing the lawn, ironing (). I have no problems with other things that I always do immediately (washing the dishes, storing food from the grocery in the refrigerator and the pantry...).

@1creekgirl Cleaning the bathroom is not something I hate, I do every day, they stay clean, but the oven is such a hard task.

I'm with you on the bathroom. I hate cleaning it too. Yes, I'm a procrastinator, bad procrastinator. I usually don't have leftovers, so food doesn't go to waste, but I do take my time about getting to things I need to do.

@1creekgirl I put things off because hate dealing with them until I finally have to deal with them. I put off making important decisions at time because not sure about what to do.

I always have to have things done right away. That's why my husband drives me nuts. He is the world's worst procrastinator. His biggest sin at the present time is not going over to the other house so we can get the needed repairs done so we can sell it before winter.

I try to tackle things right away rather than putting them off although I would love to put off Dental and Doctor checkups. My problem is over analyzing decisions which in a way becomes procrastination.

you amused me of keeping your leftovers for three days so as to justify your throwing them away. I had thay attitude when I was single but when I got married my husband and the fact that we live now on our own taught me not to waste foods. Yes I love to procrastinate.

I used to be really bad but somewhere along the way I got over it and now I'm not nearly as bad. There are some things in the pantry that have to stay there for a while before I can justify throwing them out.
