My Niece is in ICU!!

Received a message from my brother and SIL that their daughter is in ICU. She has sepsis, and as a result, has problems with her heart, acute kidney failure, and pneumonia, her veins keep collapsing so it is hard to get the IV's into her veins. She is on IV antibiotics.
Not a message you want to get. Praying for her full recovery.

So sorry to hear this. I hope she is going to be okay, and that the doctors were able to get the antibiotics and IV fluids into her body in time to prevent organ failure. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thank you Jeff. She still has a long road before she is fully recovered. But, each day she is slowly improving.

It shook me to the core. Chatted with her yesterday, she seems to have a good outlook and is recovering.

She is 40 years old. Sadly, what brought it about is something that could have been avoided, but she us unable to shake.

She is my niece, but is the same age as my daughter. They both are 40. Born just 12 days apart.
