Too Lovely to be Stuck in the House

I’m so happy not to have to work anymore, especially on a Friday!
I wrote earlier that I woke up to a chilly morning. Well, it warmed up to sunny warm weather, and hubby and I went kayaking again. Either everyone was working or back in school, so we didn’t see one soul and had the water to ourselves.
Right now I’m preparing dinner for our Friday date night. As you can see, I love that, too. Hubs will help me with the cooking. He insists on loading the dishwasher every night, too. I’m pretty sure I married the right man.

Now that we are enjoying cooler weather days in Austin, Texas, I am thinking about going for a walk in the evening. Since the pandemic was declared I rarely go outside, no matter what the weather is like.

It's good to get fresh air and Vitamin D naturally.
We live in a very quiet town with no stores. The houses are far apart, so we feel very safe out in our yard and talking long walks. We only carry masks in case we run into other walkers, but that's very rare. If we do, we all cross the street.

A husband that loads the dishwasher every night for you? Yep, you definitely married the right man!
Hope you had fun kayaking. Do you kayak on a lake, or on a river? I love kayaking, and my son and I go frequently on many of the various rivers we have here in north Florida.

@DianneN I wouldn’t necessarily call my son and I “pros” in kayaks. Sometimes it’s pretty funny watching us try to steer and paddle, especially when we’re going upstream on the river, or trying to navigate around stumps and fallen trees in the river.

That is awesome. I didn't know you kayaked. I had one but I sold it. I found it unwieldy in the water. I f I got another one, I would like it to be inflatable.

@Tampa_girl7 Thanks. It was so good. Hubs is cleaning up now. We went with the lima beans.
