Surgery Went Well

It's almost 6:30 PM. I've been in my room for about two hours. I just had strained cream of mushroom soup. No mushrooms. I'm on a liquid diet.
The surgery went well. I don't know how long I will be here. They're having trouble with my IV. So what else is new. I'm not an easy poke. I'm glad it lasted through the surgery. They're looking for a vein finder. They had it on the elbow and that never works for long.
He arrived, the IV is in and everything is quiet. Praise God. Until I get home I won't have the health report other than to say things are going well. I'm doing my best to keep to my diet. I just scarfed down a snack-sized sugar-free strawberry jello. I really need more to eat than what they gave me. I'm on my second cup of water and almost done with the ice chips.
Okay, it's almost 7. I'm not used to working on a lap top and it's at a bad height which is making this difficult.

I've been gone for a long time here. And I've read a lot of discussion from friends that aren't so good and surprised me.
Good to hear your surgery went well though I have no idea why you went through surgery.
Hoping for your fast recovery and hope you get home soon.

thank the heavens ya checked'n, though such 'twas not comfy fer ya. i reckon any food 'tis good, too much'd prolly not settle well with the tummy. fingers crossed that i.v. holds, 't least through the night.

When they got me out of bed, things went sideways. I ended up throwing up the jello. Oh well, I'm on my second chocolate pudding now at 1:15 AM.

I have been thinking of you and wondering how the surgery went. One down and the other to go. How long do you have to rest now? Thank you for letting us know. Take care and I hope after all is done you will be pain free and both knees are good as new.

Why are they giving you so little to eat? You are past the sugery. You should be able to eat.

I love cream of mushroom soup. I never made it myself. But we do buy Progresso one and it is really good. Of course, home made is much better. Glad the surgery went well.
