I'm Going Home

Physical Therapy was just here and I told her I was getting myself to the bathroom instead of waiting forever for the nurse. My patience ran out. She was totally impressed with what I can do for myself. I only need to talk to someone who can sign off on my going home.
I got on the step machine so they could see how well I did on that. Again, she was impressed. I will need to pick up a foot aid to help me in and out of bed because I can't lift that leg yet. She showed me how to use it and again, I impressed her with being able to use it so well and without pain.
The only real problem I'm having right now has nothing to do with my knee. I'm going deaf in my right ear. I started really noticing it yesterday, especially during the game. There are times when I can't hear anything out of it. Right now is one of those times. I have an audiology appointment next month to determine whether I will need hearing aids. I'm guessing the answer to that is yes.
So, I will be happy to get home to my own surroundings, my own food, and my own bed. I have gotten used to working on my laptop, but I will be happy to get back to my computer.

@Elizaby Yes, it is and I'm very happy. A friend from church called me before my surgery to tell me she had a dream that I would return to church sooner than expected and doing better than expected. With as well as I'm doing now, I have no doubt I'll be back in church sooner.

woo-hoo! doin' the happy dance fer ya with such great news! hopefully yer son can find ya one'f those gadgets. will be wonderful to be home, yer comfort zone. do ya got the groceries ya need?

I'm sure you're happy to be able to go home. You certainly are working hard with your physical therapy. Will they have a therapist come to the house once you're home?

Well done and l hope you get home today. Your recovery will be enhanced in the comfort of your own home. Getting into your own bed will feel like a luxury it is a super feeling!

From one who knows first-hand what being home is like. I can't wait to get there. I'm going home tomorrow. They need to do the discharge today.

That's very good news, I know you are looking forward to being back in your home with your own bed and food! Sorry about your hearing though, that doesn't sound very fun!

@just4him Love when the trees turn...we are just starting to get a bit of color here. We probably won't be at the peak until the first week of November. It arrives late here.

I am glad that you are going home. But I am also concern about your right ear. Can you hear any sound like inside the ear?
