Sunday, October 11 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's been a couple of days since I posted this. Not that I haven't been thankful, I have. Yesterday, the Internet cut out on me, so I wasn't here as much as I intended. It was still a good day.
Yesterday was a day of sunshine. It looked nice out. Temps were in the mid-60s. Perfect for this time of year. Fall colors are near peak. As I look across the street, the trees are a mixture of yellow, red, and green. It's the most beautiful time of year.
I'm thankful for today, Sunday. I watched the service online. I'm so thankful I can interact with the service through comments and they know I'm there, if not in person.
I'm thankful I'm alive to experience today. I might not be able to do a lot, but I can watch the sights outside my windows.
I'm thankful for the ability to take care of myself at this time. Sometimes I wish someone was here with me, just to keep me company. I find even at this time in my life, I am able to do a lot more than I thought possible. Before my surgery, I wouldn't have thought I could do this by myself. But I can.
I'm thankful for music. I have YouTube on to alleviate the quiet.
Okay, that's what I'm thankful for today so far. I've had the ice machine on with my knee wrapped. And I had a short nap this morning. Now, I'm going to interact with you. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I'm happy to hear that you're able to do more for yourself. I'm sure it gets a bit lonely.
I'm also thankful our church offers online services too. Today was an awesome message.

It is. It kicked me off again yesterday. Today, I'm going to work on the computer. The swelling is gone and I hope working here won't bring it back. I'll be icing my leg later to prevent more swelling. I have therapy this morning and I hope all the work I did this weekend to increase the bend, worked.

I am thankful that I have plenty, more than I need actually, and right now I am enjoying clearing things out. Sometimes it is hard to give things up.

Yesterday I was thankful to be able to go to church and Sunday school again. I'm thankful to be able to work on my latch hook rug yesterday. I'm thankful for today that I got the free bag of cat food that I won. I have been waiting (seems like forever) on that bag. I'm not thankful that my little toe was hurting this morning. It's fine now, but I want to be careful with it.

A wonderful sentiment and some very nice things to be thankful for. You know, to appreciate the little things in life we take for granted, is a great quality to have. As we age those things we take for granted become more precious to us.
