October 20 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a long difficult day. Difficult because I had to wear both shoes most of the day and my back is paying the price, so I'm getting off the computer and going back to the heating pad when I post this. I'm thankful for my son taking me to my audiology appointment. They initially told me it was in the main hospital. When I got there, they told me it was in another building around the back of the hospital. I wasn't late. In fact, I was early. I got the time wrong by half an hour. The hearing test went well. I'll have hearing aids by Thanksgiving. For me this year has been good. By Christmas, I'll be able to see well, hear well, and walk well. Can life get better than that? I'm thankful for my friend who took me to my infusion. My son was very tired from working all night and wanted to get some sleep on his day off before his girlfriend showed up. The infusion went well but took longer than I expected. I'm on the fast track with it, so I'll be finished with it in half an hour in about a year's time. They did an hour observation when finished. Okay, that's my day. I need to get my back on the heating pad and massage pad. I didn't ice my knee today, no time. Maybe I can get it done tomorrow. I have two appointments tomorrow too. One in the morning, one mid-afternoon. I hope my son can sleep between the two. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Winter is coming. It came close today.
