I hope all of my MyLot friends have a SAFE and HAPPY New Year's Eve.
May your 2021 be much BETTER than 2020. Be healthy and have a prosperous Happy New Year!
Update on the other house - the leak that was coming through the ceiling is caused by several pipes that burst during the winter with no heat in the house. I had an opportunity for an "I told you so" moment; but I merely said, "Maybe you'll listen to me next time". Same thing actually. lololol As soon as it dries out a little bit we will have the drywall guy come back and do his thing with the ceiling. I am done putting out $$ for this house!
Our little housekeeper and her family are doing well. They are waiting out the quarantine period now.
Thanks again to everyone that sent a Christmas card. You have no idea how much that meant to me.
We are having a very quiet New Year's Eve (as usual). Steaks and maybe some bubbly to toast in the New Year. For New Year's Day we are having the traditional pork and sauerkraut for good luck. What are your plans?
Stay safe and healthy and stay positive. I have a feeling that 2021 is going to be very special.

This answered my question on your previous post that your housekeeper is doing good.
I believe that 2021 will be much better than 2020. We had a very tough year and that made us tough too. We are ready to face 2021.

Happy New Year! I am not really celebrating because like some memes say "I need to see a trailer of 2020" lol. I just don't want to get my hopes up....I'll be glad if at the end of 2021 I can say it was a better year

Happy New Year's Eve to you . . . we all definitely hope for better times in the new year. House repairs - we have so much to do here too - and it often means $$$. A Japanese tradition is to eat soba noodles on New Year's Eve - to clear out the bad stuff from the year - so we will do that. New Year's day we would have normally had a Japanese feast with the family, but not this time - will do a mini version of that with just us at home. Stay safe and well - happy 2021 (almost!).

Thank you. And the same to you. I've eaten Chinese but never Japanese food. I'd like to try it.

@LindaOHio Happy Official New Year
. I hope you get to try it soon! We love Chinese, but have not gone to restaurants nor had any take out since earlier this year . . . all we had was the Chinese we made at home (but it doesn't taste the same as restaurants).

If only I knew what our plans are. Nothing has been decided.
I'd prefer to stay home but hubby doesn't want to as we did that last year...

I like to stay home on New Year's Eve and avoid the crazies out there.

I think most of it is gone. It's going to rain pretty heavily; so that should get rid of the last of it.

Sorry about the busted pipes. We had that happen in our house once. What a nightmare.

The rain is pouring heavily. Maybe it's a sign that it will wash away all the problems and we'll have a great year ahead. Happy New Year!
