Our world is about to be turned upside down!

- but don't panic. Everything is fine.
Vince has opened his big mouth and has invited three children for an overnight stay. That's them in the collage.
I am not a big fan of kids although these are very lovable and I’m sure we’ll all have a great time. They belong to our god-daughter and we’ve kept in contact with them since they were tiny. The eldest is now 14 I think.
We have to occupy them somehow so we’re going to let them make their own pizzas. We’ll take them shopping to buy their own pizza toppings and perhaps Vince will make pancakes with them.
We’ll also play some board games and perhaps cornhole toss. Their mother has said we can let them use the air rifle. This would be closely supervised of course. I can’t believe how nervous I am. Wish us luck!
We’ll pick them up in the morning and return them tomorrow morning.

I thought by saying you were about to be turned upside down that you were going to visit a country in the northern hemisphere! haha From my perspective here in the US, you are already upside down!
You'll do fine with the kids. Just have fun and act like a kid yourself. No harm in having a little childish fun!

Ha, I guess they like blue. I would make Vince play entertainment director since he is the one who inivited them..lol. My nephews used to visit here sometimes when they were younger but other than insisiting on looking for the cat, they were pretty well behaved..

It looks like those kids are a lot of fun (from the pictures) and I imagine you'll get some good laughs. Making pizza sounds like a great idea.

I'm with you, not a big fan of kids, either. Ha ha. Good luck with that. No, they do sound nice, and I would leave most of the entertaining to Vince as it was his idea lol! What are the ages now?

They're in bed now and we will be soon too. Just have to get through a few hours tomorrow - but it's all been fine.

Hopefully the outside games like corn hole will be fun, fresh air will tire them so that they sleep easily.
We quite often had my brother's 3 children overnight for days on end sometimes, at their request.
We have some fond memories of the silly things that they said and did.

oh, y'all're gonna run ragged, lol. i'm sure the stay'll be lovely, those young'uns well 'ehaved. what fun to make their own pizzas'n pick their toppin's. these're thingies young'uns recall fondly, precious memories. y'all might need a day 'r 2 to recover though ;)

That's pretty much what we're doing although they've eaten well today without too many sweet things.
