A Steal of a Ham / myLot

I mentioned yesterday that I went to Ruler Foods and talked about the major price increases I saw there. But, all that aside, I did actually get a whale of a deal on a spiral cut ham while I was there. 49 cents per pound on sale. I got a steal on that, I think. It was about a 10 pound ham and I paid about $5.13 for it. It is in the freezer as we speak, but when I finally decide to cook it, we'll get several meals out of it.

Yep. I see a ham dinner in the future, and maybe some ham and eggs, some ham and bean soup with it, ham sandwiches... I will be eating ham until my eyes pop out. lol

@thelme55 No. You are right. Even after I cook it I can freeze portions of the cooked ham and use them when I want to.

That's a lot of ham there. You got yourself probably a week's worth of ham for two people. By the way, what does the racoon have do with your ham? Did he try steal it?

It is definitely going to go a long way. I will be eating ham until my eyes pop out. lol. As for racoon, he's my accomplice bandit racoon who helped me get this steal.

It literally was a steal. I don't know that I have ever bought a ham that cheap, and certainly not a spiral cut one.

Pea and ham soup

I work in a hotel kitchen and have to use up lots of products so am currently looking for different things to cook and soups are quick and easy and can be frozen for later use.
