Biggest Problem

Where you live, what is your biggest problem? I hope to move soon, and over the years I have talked about all the problems I have in my current apartment. But what really bugs me is people who don't clean up their dog's poop. I never leave my dog's poop on the ground. However, it is everywhere. Management threatens residents with a $50 fine if caught, but no one in the office ever catches it. I have only seen one other person pick up after their dogs. Then again, would another apartment complex be different? One thing I plan to do before I change locations is walk the entire property to see how bad their dog poop problem is. So, what bugs you most about the place you live?

Picking just one? Probably in the summer when neighbours light bonfires. The smell is really strong and we have to close or sliding door or windows instead of letting the fresh evening air come in. There are 3 neighbours immediately adjacent to us (left, right, behind) who all light fires of some sort. I am sensitive to smells so it really bothers me.

@JimBo452020 It is unfortunately. With my illness my senses are heightened. I am very sensitive to smells and they really bother me.

We have bonfires. As long as it is only wood they burn it should be ok. Smoke does smell, but it's not a real bugbear for you is it?

@AmbiePam Same here since the garbage looks bad in my neighborhood not to mention it could cause a flat tire on an auto.

Coyotes killing our chickens is maybe our biggest problem, but the benefits outweigh the problems.

Nothing bugs me about our new home yet. Our old house, different story. Bloody next door neighbours with their junk yard garden that smells of dog dirt, The dogs bark constantly. Two rowdy boy kids although both have become more quiet with all the lockdowns.

I hate all the bugs that show up in the summertime. They are always lurking around. It is way too hot and humid here too.

I live in my parents' land, so there's no such issue. However, some neighbours don't like cats. Cats being cat, they'll roam whenever they want.

True. I used to have a neighbor with a cat, and every morning the cat would poop in front of my door.

@AmbiePam I am really glad, when you buy you cannot be sure that you found the perfect location.

I’m very happy where I live. My only problem is the deer who gobble up my flowers.

I wish the kangaroos wouldn't eat everything I plant. That would be good.

I think of kangaroos as so cute, but I wouldn't if they were eating my plants.

@AmbiePam They seem to like just about anything so it makes having a nice garden nearly impossible.

I'm sorry you have a dog poop problem. We like where we live and don't really have any problems. We live in a house on 1.25 acres.

hearing your story is quite unsettling for us too, right? If you don't experience significant disturbances, it's just that my neighbor turns out to be a land mafia, his property business will even plan to buy my house right now? then where will I live? My mother does not believe in him and we will still defend ourselves to live here, even though we are given 1 billion as compensation, the point is we will not move, my house has been disputed to court in another case, and we won, this makes me more and more comfortable to be able to live here with my father and mother and four other siblings

Good idea to inspect the grounds of a new place first. Biggest problem is also somewhat the biggest blessing. It is kind of isolated here. That could be both good and bad. I would also say "thinks keep malfunctioning, and I own the place." I hope you find a wonderful place when you do move.

We had the same problem. In fact one complex even asked residents to spy and rat on their neighbors because no one cleans up after their dogs. It's actually rare in a lot of places that allow animals that owners take responsibility. Currently, I don't really have to many problems. I own my own house with my husband. We just so-happen to live next to the eyesore house (that one house that's not exactly got the best curb appeal) and the guy put a tent up in his front yard and is calling it his "mancave". Annoying for sure, but for the most part, he's pretty quiet and no one really bothers us.

I guess my biggest complaint is the noise from the four lane highway in front of our house. Years ago it was just two lanes and not bad at all. We live in the country with lots of woods around and behind us and I wish we could move our house about a half mile back.

@AmbiePam Mine is the bully that lives right above us and wants to make my life as miserable as his. Here there are supposed to be fines but nobody does anything about them.
