Hubs Gave Me a Lesson

Not on repairing the toilet that he removed and replaced with new bolts this morning. That was quite impressive for a city boy from the Bronx. I want nothing to do with that! He taught me how to make the perfect martini myself. It was a lengthy process, because I can’t eye the correct amount of alcohol. I needed a jigger. As a new student, I learned some tricks of the trade. However, being extremely bright and creative, I ventured a step further in my lesson by alternating bleu cheese stuffed olives with garlic stuffed olives. Voila! My first masterpiece is in the photo. It tastes better than ever. I believe I deserve an A+.

I'm glad the toilet got fixed, thanks to your hubs. I asked and Jay told me how a martini is made. He worked as a bar tender, years before I knew him. Your 'maiden voyage martini' looks amazing! Yes, you certainly are bright, creative, an extremely beautiful lady!(inside and outside)

The toilet was a rockin'! The bolt rusted and hubs had our son pick up everything he needed. Now it's fine, thank goodness. Glad I didn't have to help. I received a pinched nerve the other day when I tried to help. I should call Jay and make sure hubs had it down pat. Awww, thanks. Now I must not make them every night or hubs will kill me.

@DianneN My mother's toilet was like a rocking chair! When we moved into her house, the first thing Jay did was throw the toilet in the trash! It should have been replace about 20 years ago

@kobesbuddy You made me laugh so hard, that my belly hurts now! I can't stop laughing! You have such a way with words - a rocking chair!. I'm crying now! OMG! Ours shook on one side and almost enough to throw me off the toilet.

I'm with you on not replacing toilets. My hubby replaced two of those items this past year.

@DianneN Years ago hubby took a toilet apart and replaced it. I think underwear got stuck in it.

That's a lot of toilets in one year. Hubs helped my son replace one in his house. If it weren't for the pandemic, our son would have helped poor hubs. Nasty job in my opinion.

Here's your A+ especially for not getting mixed up on the olives you alternated. Does this mean you'll be expected to make your own?

Yes, he was getting sick of making them every Friday and Saturday for me. Yesterday, he suggested that it’s high time I should learn how to make them myself, but specifically mentioned only on weekends.
