I used a paper towel

We were out, doing some stuff away from home. I remembered that I needed to get Valentine's Day Cards for tomorrow's party. Well,I had taken off my mask. I had a bandana in my coat pocket, but I wore a different jacket. We were in the truck and I had no mask in there anywhere. . . but I got a sheet of paper towel, and folded it kind of like a bandana. Lucky me, I wear glasses. I put the front of my "mask" under the bridge of my glasses and wrapped the two pointy ends around the side pieces of my glasses. For as little as I was going to be in the store it worked just fine. They say they require face coverings, but they do not provide them for forgetful people like me. I managed to be safe anyway. My Valentine cards have glitter tattoos.

I am glad that they are not as strict there as they are here... only with a medical mask you can enter a store... paper does not stop the germs from spreading.

It will stop it some. I also social distance. Worst place is waiting in line to check out.

Here in Italy you would not have been allowed into the shop without a poper mask. Keep a spare one in your purse for if it should happen again I have stopped wearing my glasses as they steam up (it's winter here) when I wear the mask

I thought I had one in the car, and one in my pocket, and I wear one all day. We just had so many things going on that I did not have any of them. I absolutely cannot see without my glasses.

@GardenGerty I don't see well without them either but I don't see at all if they are steamed up so it's the lesser of two evils

Yes, just because it was a very brief foray to shop. Waiting in line was the pits.

@sallypup The woman in front of me had so many "fresh" and organic things, then at the end was trying to locate a digital coupon for a canned soup. Never found it, cashier typed in a code for her anyway.

I'm sure your 'mask' was better than nothing.

Yes, Sometimes you forget to bring the mask with you. Even leaving the house. I've started out of my car a number of times without my mask heading towards a store. It's just hard getting used to doing it. I've now got 3 masks stored in my glove box of my car. And still I'll almost forget. I hope some day we can stop having to wear them.

I have seen people here pull their shirt over their face and pull it down when they are done.

I could possibly have gotten one at the service desk, but I wanted to be covered when I walked in.

As well as circumstances would allow. I thought the store might have some to give out, but it did not.
