It's Freezing Here!! How is Your Weather?

It's cold!! Brrr! It is right at 8 pm here in southern Mississippi and it is 33 degrees with a wind chill factor of 25. That's too cold. But we have much colder weather on the way. I'm not a winter person and dealing with the cold the best I can.
Today I ran errands and got extra food, pellets for the heater, food for the animals. I am ready to hibernate for the next couple of days. Monday we will have a wintery mix all day long and the low Monday night will be 11 degrees. This number has varied from 14 degrees to 11 degrees for the last several days. It has been going down daily. I'm hoping it stops because I don't ever remember a night this cold in my life. It will be a negative number with the wind chill.

It's been warm, with highs reaching the low 80's. Today it didn't reach that high because of the early rainstorm. On the plus side, storms like this are good in winter, because there's no muggy wall of heat following the rain.

@kaylachan Either March or April at least. You know how crazy the weather is here in the south--you never know!

Where at about 20 degrees today and it sleeted all day little ice pleat all day so now the ground has like a layers of ice on the ground. It was gross weather for the day in my Virginia area.

It's sunny and warm here in Missouri!

It was cool here today, but not cold. I took a hike with a friend today. It felt biting when we hiked out onto a pier (probably 45 F with a windchill of 35 F), but much more comfortable when we went up into the hills (probably 57 F, with a windchill of 52 F).

I hear ya!! Here in Texas it is 10 degrees and gonna get colder as the night goes on, they say it will be below zero with the wind chill. We are also getting snow which is different. I grew up in CO so I am used to it, but, not supposed to be like this in Texas. Stay warm

@cintol Thank you! Our chances of more of the mix went way down for tonight. Tomorrow we may see a few hours of sunshine. I sure hope so! The high is supposed to be 36 and that will be nice too but I don't think much of the ice will melt away. We are back in the low 20's again tomorrow night.

It is a first for a bunch of areas! We will be colder tonight (Mon.) also and may hit the negative numbers. We have about 4 inches of frozen ice/sleet/snow today and it will stay for awhile with no chance of melting in the next 24 hours or so.

@kareng Same here, we got about 4 inches and it will start snowing again tomorrow night they said. Right now we are without water as main pipes are breaking all over the city, they shut electric off in the night to conserve and will do the same tonight. They don't even have plows here so its fun lol. Schools have already shut down for the week as warmer weather won't be here till next the weekend. Fun times. We laugh a little because in CO we are still working and kids are still in school with 4 ft of snow lol. Stay warm there and be safe

I can't imagine living in that cold. Weather here's been pretty erratic. It gets hot and humid during the day then rains at night. And what's weird is to have rains here on February. Hope you'll stay safe and warm.

It's been in the 20s for quite a stretch and will be colder tomorrow. That s**w storm will be hitting tomorrow as well. We plan on hibernating. 34 days until spring! Stay safe and warm.
