I made a cake! I made a cake!

I’m not sure why I’m going on about it so much. Lol It’s not as if I’ve never made a cake before. I used to bake a lot but now there is just the two of us and, with Vince having Type 2 diabetes, cake isn’t high on our list of priorities.
However, I had some squishy bananas so I made a banana and walnut cake. It’s now cooked as you can see and cooling on a cake-tray. I’ll let it cool completely before I cut it.
We need to put the caravan back in the shed today and Vince is nearly out of one of his tablets so that might mean a trip to Bunbury in which case we’d pick up some more hay for Harry and Solomon.

The cake looks really good, My goodness by the title of this piece I thought you had struck gold not just made a cake Enjoy the cake, I have to smile every time you mention the sheep I just love their names, It makes me think of that cartoon Shaun the Sheep which was very popular in Latvia and popped up on a lot of the channels,

I guess not being able to have it as much as you used to makes it that much more special! Hope it's as good as it looks!

Uhm... Pretty and I would have already torn pieces off the cake as soon as it was turned out of the pan. It does look good!
Did you guys take Harry and Solomon with you on the photo shoot?

@JudyEv There are, but I don't know if they are used in cooking or baking.

@snowy22315 I've never heard of them. The tiny bananas we found in Thailand were full of seeds but they were yellow.

@JudyEv Thats why I have started making cupcakes instead. They can be frozen if needed. Not as good after but still sweet.

I love bananas but hate walnuts. If I ever see them anywhere I pick them out. What gives your cake that color?

@JudyEv Maybe it's the camera filter.

It's the light. I should have taken more care. I didn't notice the funny colour when I first took the photo.
