Birthday present for hubby

I wasn't sure what to get hubby for his birthday (March 9th) so I got him some lotto scratch-offs. They are fun to do and you can win some big bucks. I sure hope he wins something, though would be awesome if he actually wins big.
I am almost tempted to keep the scratch-offs for myself. I should've gotten them for me as well but I didn't have enough cash on me and you can't use a credit card when you buy lotto. It's cash only.
Perhaps I should go to a store tomorrow and see if I can find something else for hubby. There is still time... But it will probably end up being in the clothing category, which is what I didn't want.

The loto seems like a fun idea. Though that must be in your state that loto is cash only. Then again... been a while since george and I did scrach offs.

I remember once hubby tried to pay for them with a card and the guy said cash only. Maybe it depends on the place you get it from.

@lovebuglena Yeah, I think so. I know my hubby pays with a card most of the time.

Thank you. No scratch-offs for me. Maybe I will get some next time. I am excited to see if hubby won anything but he has yet to scratch them.

Nothing wrong with lottery tickets. Every year for Christmas, my mom would gift my brother and I a bunch of lottery tickets. We always had so much fun with the scratch-offs, and always watched enthusiastically for the winning numbers on the quick-picks she would get us.

@lovebuglena I agree, I like the scratch-offs too. It's fun sitting around scratching them and seeing if you won. Just the looks on people's faces makes it all the more fun.

Getting actual lotto tickets is a good idea but then the person doesn't do anything. No fun there. Unless the numbers win big. With the scratch-offs at least you have fun scratching them off and doing whatever those particular ones tell you to do.

@moffittjc I love the cashword ones where you scratch off letters and then scratch those letters off in the words and if you complete three or more words you win.

I can't wait to find out. He has yet to do them. He had to go into work. And today is his day off. He tried to get the customer to come Thursday to pick up the car but they wanted today only.

I think so too. You don't have to spend a lot and the person can win a lot of money. Plus. it's fun to do.

I used to love buying presents for my husband but now I find him difficult to buy for. I often end up with a book.

I always thought those things were just to take people’s money.

So you want to keep those scratch cards for yourself. You can do it but pass on the 'booty' to your husband as a birthday gift
