The Pandemic has Been Very Good to Us

Haven’t been here much for many reasons. One of the most important is that we needed to do something with our money that has accumulated for the past year.
We had too much (never thought I’d say that) to keep in the bank. We have spent hours on Zoom and on the phone with our financial advisor and finally have added some new investments which should help.
Our younger son and nephew are doing extremely well with Bitcoins and other cyber investments, but we decided not to go that route.
My hubs is on the way to the bank now to deposit another check from selling some jewelry online. I still need to find the time to go through more and other items, but have too much going on this week.
Thought I’d stop by to wish you all a Happy April!

I feel that we are too late in the game, but my brother has made a killing in cryptocurrency. Our son is trying to talk us into it. We’re thinking about it. He’s doing very well, too. If anything, we’d buy low and sell high just fo see how it goes.

I wouldn't mind having that issue at all! I bought some ethereum the other day. My son has made money on Bitcoin too.

@DianneN Well you might not want to put it all in in case it suddenly tanks. It's unpredictable although I have read things that say it will quadruple this year.

@snowy22315 It goes up and down, but my nephew, who works in finance, keeps on us to invest. He’s been in it since the beginning. Can you imagine? I would split it up. I decided to open an account and watch it for a week or so. I have my on on a few.

Lol! It was bothering my husband. He put the jewelry check into my “special “ savings account.
My son and nephew have been buying Ethereum, too. Good for you! I’ve been following it in the markets and am thinking about dropping all my “special “ savings into one or the other for the heck of it. No bank internet can equal that.

Nice to see you, it always makes me happy when I hear people are doing exceptionally well finacially I also made a decent amount of money on bitcoin and cryptocurrency on the bullish trends hitting all time highs and my small investment on crypto lending. Happy April Dianne and may you and your family be blessed with more.

@DianneN it's not yet late, blockchain tech has so much potential and bitcoin is just the tip of the iceberg. Only 1% or less of the whole world has some knowledge of cryptocurrency or blockchain, just imagine if you get in now you would still be ahead of the 99%

@louievill You are right! My nephew has been investing since they became available. You talked me into it! I will set up an account and watch for a week and strike when it seems lower.

@DianneN I wish I can earn that amount. But it will take years and years.

@jobelbojel Do a little at a time. You don’t have to spend all that at once.

Happy April back to your to. And happy Easter..I don't remember whether your celebrate that or not.
It's good to have more money than expected..I knew I still had money from my mom coming to me but found out it might be for times the amount is was expecting so I'll be opening a Roth IRA for a portion of those funds and saving the rest for our remodel.
When your said not to get white floors was it because certain foods might stain the floor if dropped, like tomato products? I need to find out about whether that might be a problem with the flooring we choose or not.

@DianneN the floor won't be tiles. I think it'll have a wood look to it when it's done just in white with splashes of grey. It commute in 4x 7 sections to be fit together. It's a heavy duty type flooring in hoping that means it can withstand more but will double check before we get it.

@DianneN unless we go with something else to better match the cupboards we end up picking this is what we both agreed on.

@MarshaMusselman It sounds pretty. It must be vinyl, which should clean easily.

A very Happy April to you. You just hit the nail on the head with what my problem is, Never enough money and I have costume jewelry that I could sell because most likely I will never wear any of it again, However I have no idea how to do this and then no idea how to get the jewelry to the person who wants it, My life is just so complicated, SIGH

Thank you. The company my son uses pays for the shipping. He prints a label and drops the envelope or box off at the post office or UPS. The buyer pays before it’s shipped. If you are interested, PM me. If not, it’s okay. They sell costume jewelry and even a screw without a nut. People will buy anything.
