The photo has nothing to do with the post but is of an endurance horse crossing a disused railway line.
I have written that we are going to be putting our house up for sale. It hasn’t been an easy decision and from time to time we wonder if we’re doing the right thing. However, several times in the past week, there seem to be signs that we have made the right decision and this is reassuring.
We advertised three doonas and a single bed electric blanket. We were offering them free as there is no market for second-hand items such as these. One lady was to pick up all of them for herself and a friend.
When she arrived, we discovered she also had a collection of LP records and we were able to give her half of a big stack which we had. We had no idea how to dispose of them other than taking them to a thrift shop. It’s nice to know this lady will play them and enjoy them.

Selling a Property is a big move. Take your time and be fully prepared - mentally or logistically.
We have more clothes to give to a recycling center but now I will go slow due to the big resurgence of the virus, which has kind of just "exploded" !

Great that you got all of that gone. Sounds like you made the right choice.

We do like to second guess ourselves. Since you have signs leading to that you made the right decision then you should remember that. That is nice that someone is taking them all for her and her friend. It sounds like the right lady bought the other stuff and got some nice records in return. It sounds like things are moving along.

@DocAndersen Well, that's what she's saying. She has the back of her 4WD set up with all her camping gear and a special spot for the record player. I wonder what the other campers will think! lol

Knowing that your things went to someone who apprecistes them makes it easier to part with things.

I'm sure this happens a lot but these were all local people. Some of the items would sell better in the city and maybe we'll have another declutter when we get to where we're going. We might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves as we may not sell this place as easily as we seem to think.

Great shot. What is a doona? It's nice that you gave away some items to someone that could really appreciate them.
