I Did Virtual Reality and OMG!

My grandson insisted I try his virtual reality. It was my first time ever!
He set everything up for me and placed the goggles on my head. Then, WHAM! I was on a roller coaster on an island surrounded by beautiful turquoise water and loaded with palm trees. Seagulls flew in the sky.
Everything was wonderful until the roller coaster began to move. I felt as if I were in it. I don’t like roller coasters. I was frightened and had to look at the ocean, palm trees, or seagulls a lot! I couldn’t wait for it to end and kept my eyes closed for the last few minutes. It was 13 minutes long and most of it with me screaming. His daddy went for a “ride” and vomited afterwards.
Next I went to Jurassic Park. It wasn’t as frightening. However I loved the volcanic explosion and enjoyed the various dinosaurs fighting.
Now I need something more mellow.

Sounds like fun, never tried it myself. I would probably like the roller coaster!

Don't they have something more mellow like an island with pretty girls and nice scenic spots?

@DianneN I tried soon before Covid, our friend from Monte Carlo loves so much all those gadgets, as soon a new one is available he buys and he always brought them here to let us try. I played virtual reality golf for a while, but I had to stop, I get vertigo and nausea.

I tried something like that once, but it wasn't nearly as intense!

It sounds amazing. I also do not like roller coasters. You are not alone. Maybe it is too much for us older folks. I love Jurassic Park. The whole thing aside from the roller coaster sounds amazing. Do you need goggles for it or can you do it without too?

That real, I'll pass. When in grammar school, remember the Caterpillar, I rode it. I only rode Ferris Wheels after that.

We don't have the set up at home, but we've experienced VR - the kids love it. We went to a local mountain lion festival and they had a VR thing in a "wild" environment . . . pretty cool! I would love the rollercoaster ones . . . I used to love rides and now I'm not a fan . . . but at least with VR I know I would always be safe.

I’d like a Boz Scaggs virtual reality concert about now......
Eek, I don’t know if I could handle something like that. I wouldn’t mind the VR of being by the ocean, but jumping out of an airplane? No!!!!
