Just a quick update.
That "little bit" of s**w that we received Wednesday (3") froze in large lumps to the medium sized tree in our front flower garden and bent it down to the ground. When the snow melted off the branches, it stayed in that position. We will have to saw off most of the branches because it now blocks the front walk and part of the driveway. Hopefully the tree will be able to be saved. :-( I hope this is the last of this crappy weather!
When the tree in the next door nursery fell over due to the high winds that we had a couple of weeks ago, they knocked down our electric wires. There must be a bad connection because when things are turned on like the microwave or the vacuum, all the lights dim in the house. The Illuminating Company should be here in the next couple of days to look at the wires.
The real estate company that our little housekeeper works for unbelievably gave the approval for a 60-day listing! Their usual is ONE YEAR; but with the pandemic that have been INSISTING on 6 months. Hopefully we can sell within that time. If not, it's going to a cash buyer/flipper.

@CarolDM The boughs have lifted a little now that the s**w chunks have melted. The roots are NOT out of the ground; and I'm hoping that the tree can be saved.

So sorry about your tree. That snowy ice must have been pretty darn heavy to bend a tree and leave it like that.
Good luck getting your wires back to normal. Never a dull moment.

Thanks. Yes, hubs said we got about 3". It all froze to the tree in big clumps. Yah, never a dull moment when you own a house, right? :-) We are hoping to sell the house within the first 30 days.

That is a crazy long contract, one year that is, I have ner heard of anyone signing for that long, usually, 3 months here is the average.

One year is nuts! I would never sign a contract for that long. Because of COVID, they are accepting 6-month contracts. I'm glad they made an exception for us.
