Prices Going Up

United States
April 22, 2021 9:42am CST
I saw on the news last night that prices will be going up, due to the pandemic. You know things are already high enough. The way the news caster described it, its gonna really be bad. It was terrible when the pandemic first hit, now a lot of items, like paper goods will rise in price. Food included. I really wonder if things will ever get back to the normal we once knew.

Well I guess the food banks will be doing lots of business. Maybe we should stock up while prices are still at a manageable level.

The gasoline price increased and surely the prices of all goods will go up, not something we needed for sure.

Yes, gas and now food item have definitely gone up in my state. The stores are passing the costs like transportation on to us. I've heard since more people are eating at home due to Covid, it has disrupted the supply and demand for goods. Less demand = high prices

@popciclecold I can understand feeling that way. It is not fair but they do not think of the citizens that buy the products that go up.

To me it has seemed like things have been consistently rising all along. I wonder how high it can get. I probably do not want to know.

Yep, I've noticed the high prices over the last few months. Pet food is up really high and so are the pantry items I usually buy. Small wonder we need stimulus checks to help us out.

Prices are already going high here. Basically all prices of essential commodities have gone up like petrol and diesel over here. Do not know the exact reason but it is not going to go down soon.

Prices will go up, but your monthly income will remain the same. This is unnatural and unfair.

I'm sorry but prices would never go down, your dollar today was worth only 13 or 14 cents in 1913, the U.S. dollar is 96% less it's original value. Stock up on food stuffs and basic commodities good for 6 months to a year and after a few months you would notice that you made a profit on your original purchase . The pandemic only magnified the flaw of printing money ( fiat) that's not backed by anything like silver or gold.

Our gas prices here will probably be $3.50 next week. Not because of the pandemic, but because of the Kentucky Derby. The prices go up every time there’s an event. Go 30-50 miles outside of town and the gas prices will be $2.69.
