I'm doing the opposite

Do you ever find yourself doing the opposite of what you need to do or what you intend to do? There's a lot of things I need to think about, but I find myself doing the opposite. I believe I know what this is. If I think about it, I could overthink it and either talk myself out of it or talk myself into it. Or, and this is most likely to happen, worry so much that I end up making things worse. I think I need to do a stream of consciousness for myself. That is, write out everything that pops into my mind and just go with it. Do you ever have a lot on your mind and no real outlet for it?

Oh yes, all the time! Sometimes I just get distracted though. And yes to the last question as well! It can be difficult.

It's been a day of nothing for me. I have done a few earnings things, but that's about it. Too many things on my mind, and they're all like unformed thoughts. Or rather, incomplete ones. Yes, it can definitely be difficult.

@MommyOfEli2013 I've also got financial worries on my mind too. I overthink things so much it might as well be an olympic sport. Thanks. Today is.. Well I'm not going to say because I'm hoping it will shape up to be better.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well I hope tomorrow will be better with all of that stuff. Sometimes a break from stuff is needed, but other times being busy keeps ones mind distracted....so not sure which is better.

I find making lists helps me immensely. Then I can cross things off as I do them, which always feels good.

I didn't write at all yesterday and I am seriously wondering if i'll write at all today. Honestly I just feel like going back outside and walking until I'm too tired to think. I'm okay though. Just a lot on my mind. But yes, lists are fabulous.

@LindaOHio Luckily some of what was on my mind was resolved. I did take a small walk yesterday evening.

I have laundry that needs to be folded in the dryer. It is mostly towels, but I know I will wait until after dinner instead of folding them right away.

@LadyDuck True. Things look different at night and critters come out at night that aren't active during the day.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I also have to go outside and put back some garden tools in the shed. Better that I go before night.

I put things off, I just don't do them, etc. I am the queen of procrastination.

I am doing that sometimes, too. I postpone the things that I should do.

I always regret postponing after.

Yes, that is kind of why I like to be online. It keeps my brain and hands occupied.

That's what I'm doing today. I SHOULD be writing, especially since I didn't yesterday, but there's some changes in my life and I just can't focus on creative writing at the moment.

I think drop shipping is one of those things that seem very easy but has a lot of complexities to it. I hope that you will be successful with it.

I always have a lot on my mind and most times I find myself drifting off in thought. As for doing the opposite I can just as easily talk myself out of doing something as easily as talking myself into something. Maybe writing will help you. Can't hurt to try it

Right, that is what I was thinking. I am very good at over-thinking things too. Even something as simple as writing out my thoughts.

You're right here "I think I need to do a stream of consciousness for myself. That is, write out everything that pops into my mind and just go with it." In my experience overthinking never brings any good.
