My mouse died but now I'm back in business

We have been in our new house for just a week now. It’s been a very hectic time but somewhere along the way I lost my computer mouse and it’s taken till yesterday for us to get around to getting a new one. So I haven’t been on myLot for ages it seems. I hope you’re all doing well.
The loading of our furniture, etc, went well. Vin and I followed each other up the highway but when we stopped for a coffee, my car refused to start and, in the end, we had to get a tow-truck to take my Hyundai to our new residence.
The photo shows Fluffy, the tow-truck driver, and me when we reached our destination. Behind us is the area which will be a community barbecue site.
We’ve been to a ‘welcome’ afternoon tea and everyone here has been very friendly. There have been a number of new arrivals, just like us.

That sounds like a lot, but it is good to get to know some of the neighbors.

What a warm photo that is. Welcome party indeed. Who gave that party for you?. Nice beginning I say.

Sorry about your Hyundai, Judy! It was just being stubborn:( I'm glad there was a 'welcome' tea, so everyone can get acquainted with their new neighbors:)

Fluffy is beard goals. I'm nowhere near the volume of his lovely beard.
Glad you are adjusting well. For sure in a couple more days you will finish with everything and would have settled in just fine.

I am glad that you are back with us again, I missed you.
You really arrived in the new neighbourhood in a unique way, with your car on a flatbed like that.
I'm sure that getting things put away and set up to your liking will take up alot of time for the next little while.
Enjoy the new place, new neighbours and friends that you will meet.

Your mouse and your car didn't want to move! The mouse is probably still in hiding back at your old house.
I'm glad you got moved safely. Is everything unpacked yet?

@JudyEv The kangaroos are probably playing with it at your old house.

I'm glad you finally made it to your new house and that everything worked out ok. It's too bad the cat didn't find the mouse for you

@JudyEv that's good. It seemed like a fast decision but you might have been mulling it over for awhile. It's good that things are moving along so well.

@MarshaMusselman We had been thinking about it for a while but once we made the decision, things did forge ahead very quickly.

Glad you are back, hate to hear your car had to be towed. In the photo you are a tiny little thing, or maybe because the tow truck driver is so big. Happy to know you are enjoying yourself in your new home.

Thanks. The houses seem quite well insulated so we don't ever hear our neighbours.

I'll be doing more decluttering over the next few weeks. We still have too much stuff.

Has it been a week already? Time flies. I wondered how you did. Sorry about the car trouble; but I'm glad you arrived safe and sound. Great picture of you and Fluffy. I'm glad the neighbors are friendly and that you attended a welcome tea. Best of luck and lots of virtual hugs.
